they were nice.so this is how it go: you have to wait outside until one of the people there comes with a list and get you to the control point.you are not allowed inside with mobile so they will keep it until u get out.you get in they call your name and ask you for the form, police records birth certificate original and copy, photos, affidavit of support and papers that prove the relation and give u a paper telling you pay the k1 visa fee after this is the fingerprint.you wait for a while and then call you for a interview.and this is are the questions she ask me:
what is my fiance name?
where did we meet?
when was the first time we talked
when did we start dating?
what are my feelings about my fiance?
where does he work ?
did i meet his parents and have i talk to them?
did he come visit me ?
how many time and for how long ?
i hope this helps

I am the Moldovan fiance who had to travel to Bucharest for this visa. Just in case, my fiance also traveled there and we stayed nearby at the Comfort Suites Hotel. The interview went well. It was on Tuesday and there were not many people, about 6 cases in total. The total wait was about 3 hours but it included all stages, e.g. security check, submitting documents, fingerprinting, review of documents in total silence, interview, result and issuing the visa. Yes, we were lucky to get the visa the same day. Still unsure why that happened but maybe because I already had a social security # or emailed them often. Anyway, the Embassy staff were pretty nice. One advice for all: do make sure that the application forms (particularly DS 156) you submit are signed and dated. Since the instructions received by the Embassy stressed that the applications had to be UNSIGNED, the lady forgot to make sure I eventually signed, so I had to remind her and then she gave them back to me to sign.

The embassy insisted on the documentation for the relationship. Also, they seemed reluctant to believe the “one week” relationship story, by which I mean those couples who haven’t spent more than 1 week together prior to the interview. However, if your fiancée or fiancé may join you, the chances to leave the embassy with the visa in hand are increasing considerably. For further information or details, don’t hesitate to text me. I will respond you ASAP.

I went with my fiancée to her interview. Our experience was pretty much exactly as described by other reviewers. You arrive at 1, expect to be there until at least 3 or 4. We were almost the last to leave at almost 4:30. They call your name after you arrive and take all of your documents. After that most of the time is spent waiting anxiously with no idea of whether your application is in the back room being reviewed favorably or not.
The staff were very courteous. We did have one bad experience, however. My fiancée had burned her fingertip cooking a few days before. It wasn't bad, but it caused a callus that prevented her left middle finger from being read by the fingerprint scanner. We were almost turned away, but luckily the consulate worker consulted with another employee and found out that they could accept the scan with only 4 fingers from that hand. The woman was very apologetic and seemed to genuinely care about the distress she had caused.
