Her story was way complete. Her appointment was for 1 pm and she got there at noon. Everybody was really nice and friendly including the security officers. She followed the usual procedure. When she was called the interview was more than a friendly conversation than just a session of questions and answers. She was given the option of having the interview in romanian or english It started with the usual "Where did you met him?" From there on the interview was more like 2 friends casually talking. When it was time to show our relationship evidence the interview became even friendlier. They made a couple of jokes, etc. She found interesting that Corina could speak spanish also. The rest of the questions were just the run of the mill. What is my job? Where do we plan to live? What she plans to do once she gets here. When she asked Cory if she had a copy of the vaccine records and she said yes, the CO told her that she will need it when she gets here. It was then that Cory felt... read complete review

Surprisingly lenient people, but to the point. Asked just regular questions, nothing tricky. They closed their eyes when they realized that spelling of my fiancee's last name is diffenerent in an English transliteration (the way I put it in all applications) and Romanian transliteration.
However, the problem came when they realized that the police certificate did not have her maiden name, and requested a new one, with both names (this is not mentioned anywhere, so beware), which meant we had to go back to Chisinau, get a new certificate, translate it and notarize it, and go back to Bucharest to present it.
The interview was on the first of July, Wednesday, we took off the same evening, took care of the certificate the next day and Friday morning I started calling the consulate to set a new appointment, just to realize that they were closed because of the fourth of July celebration which was on Saturday.
Sunday night we went back to Bucharest, I called the consula... read complete review

Low hassle, just had to honestly answer questions about us. Interviewer was impressed with amount of evidence of marriage we gathered (around 100 pages phone logs, chat logs, financial, pictures, correspondence). We prepared pretty thoroughly and it paid off, she said only her and one other elderly couple got approved today.

Everything went smooth. At 1pm we got inside, first through the security system, then upstairs where we were: 1. Fingerprinted; 2. Aked for the papers we had to submit; 3. Interviewed. Interview in itself was pretty predictable, no surprises. Questions like: how did you meet, when was the last time you saw each other, do you know his parents, do your parents agree with your relationship were asked. After she was done, she said "Ok, please take a seat and in 30 minutes another officer will call for you, to hand you your passport with the visa in it. Congratulations!"
Stress level was VERY LOW, so if you have a real relationship, this interview is like somebody asking you what time it is. Please, do not be nervous, as you have no reason for that!

The first question that was asked of my wife in front of her 2 daughters was " was the website you met your husband on a website for prostitution ". The interview went better from there. She did make it through the interview and we only need to return with one missing document but this was the rudest queation I think they could have found to ask. I met my wife on a very reputable website and we have been happily married for 1 year and have been dating for 18 months. I think this question was totally uncalled for.
