Very nice staff, well organised, very fast process.
Arrived at the embassy half an hour earlier. The security will allow you to wait across the street, not at the embassy entrance or the embassy sidewalk. At 13 o’clock sharp, another security came out and called our names and invite in 2 people (only 2 at time). Its exactly like security check at the airport, almost all metal put aside in a basket and run through that machine, and I crossed through metal detector. Advise: Close your telephone before entering in the embassy, anyhow they will keep the telephone at the entrance and give you a ticket, when you go, show the ticket and they will give telephone back. Once security was done, I was redirected into another building, just across.
The staff and security will guide you what do to and where to go before you get to ask, they just see immediately if you are disoriented. I enter the building, looking similar like the post office, that means counters with windows. Th... read complete review

Very easy process. I attended the interview with my Romanian fiance and there was a mix up with my name being on the entry sheet for the day but it was cleared up fairly quickly and I was allowed in. From the security checkpoint until we left the whole process took about 30 minutes. After clearing security we went to a window where we handed over some of the administrative paperwork and finger prints and said an oath that everything we submitted was true and accurate. Second we went to a window where we handed over the rest of the information, bonifides, financial information, etc, the third window was the interview. The questions that were asked where
How did you meet
If I (the USC) spoke Romanian
The number of times I (the USC) came to visit Romania
What are your wedding plans
After that the woman interviewing us said you were approved. It happened so quickly and without effort that I really was in a little bit of disbelief. We reall... read complete review

My interview was scheduled at 1pm. I got there 15 minutes earlier but I was allowed to go inside only 5 minutes before. After security I got inside the embassy where I had to give my passport, then go to another window to pay the visa fee, than another one to have the fingerprints taken, again at the first window to give them all the documents from the instructions that they sent me, and then wait to have the interview. There were 4 other people (2 more for K1). I was the last one to be interviewed.
I had more questions asked then I saw from others:
My fiance's name?
My fiance's birthday?
When did you two met?
Where was he born?
Are his parents alive? (only his Mom is) What's her name? Have you met her? Have you met her husband? Where are they living?
Where is my fiance working? how does he get to work? (by car) What car does he have? What is normally is work schedule?
What are your wedding plans?
.... "ok, I will a... read complete review

Our experience to Us embassy went very nice, except my anxiety before the interview which was useless but I couldn't help it...Everything happen exactly how the other couples who had the interview in Romania said it will happen...Like we left our phones in the entrance, we gave our passports, birth certificate, criminal record, affidavit support, letter od employment, paystubs, his bank account details, proof od relation, a passport picture of mine and my tnt courier confirmation page. Then we waited till they took my fingerprints and we had the interview. There was a very nice American woman who asked easy questions like: my fiancé name, his birthday(because of emotions I messed up his birthday but then I corrected myself), how we meet, how our relation evolved, how many times we meet, our wedding plans and they asked him if he knows my parents and what's my mother first name. Then she said my visa is approved. Even though I have read on Bucharest forum what papers people had to inte... read complete review
