The interview was initially scheduled for 19-Feb-2019 but embassy rescheduled it for 28-Feb-2019. Once the embassy receives the approved petition, they review it and send an email to the petitioner about the interview date as the petitioner or the beneficiary do not select the interview date. Visa fees has to be paid at the embassy by cash (in QAR or USD), credit card, or debit card (Doha bank debit cards was not accepted so I paid cash).
Carry only necessary documents (X-Ray and CD provided by Doha Clinic was not checked and they said it not required as they already have received the reports electronically). Reach one hour before your interview as security checks take time.
After all the security checks, when you reach the consular section, you are given a list and asked the arrange the documents as per the list. Carry only relevant documents. No need to carry huge folder with tons of evidences as you have already submitted them before and your petition is approved. ... read complete review

Things were going smoothly until the interview. Not once in this whole process did we make a mistake or not have everything done correctly. The officer that interviewed my husband clearly didn't go through all of the paperwork. My 2016 W2 was over the minimum requirement by about $3000.00. And they said I would need a co-sponsor because my income was under the required limit. And come to find out that the officer was counting my son as a dependent, He's 20 years old and is going to college in a different state. I provided all of the proof that he was no longer a dependent of mine. But they still said I needed a co-sponsor. Thankfully, my 2017 W2 came and almost doubled my 2016 income. They then said I no longer need a co-sponsor. But they then stuck us in administrative processing. It's been 5 weeks and all they can tell us is that they will contact us once they have completed our case. I am so disappointed with the experience at this Embassy.
