Our experience was amazing.
Me and my fiance went for the interview together. We had a loooooong wait to our exact interview. Once we arrived woman on security check confused us by saying that me and my fiance should go to totally different ways, but we decided just go together where applicants go. So went downstairs, they scanned appointment letter, put a sticker on my passport and we went to a window to get our number. Once our number showed up woman asked me some questions like have i ever been to USA, where ive been living for more than 6 month bla bla bla, asked to give police certificates, affidavit of support, birth certificate and medical (i didnt have my medical yet, cause had an extra tests for which results im still waiting) then we went to wait. After again our number showed up same women asked for fingerprints and again waiting, but this time for the interview. There were about 8 applicants before us. We came at 8am but interview been done about 2pm or later. Remember t... read complete review

Very nice people, friendly, everyone is trying to make this event the least stressful.

Interview was 5 min short, but I`ve spent 3 hours at the embassy in total.

No one asked about the additional paperwork (like bank statements, IRS statements or proofs of relationship existance).

Typical questions: about my and fiance`s profession what we want to do in the future, how we met and so on...

The whole interview took maybe 3 minutes. Consul was a lady, very smiley and nice. She was surprised that my fiancé came with me but she looked happy about it. She just asked us how and when we met, if I ever been to USA or Russia, where my fiancé works, when did he go back to USA and if we got the tickets already. My fiancé was with me all the time and could answer the questions as well. She congratulated us and informed we got approved. All stress was unnecessary. All workers are professional and friendly. Waiting is the most difficult part. Later is just getting easier 😊

The interview was a very nice experience as always (I've been there twice for non-immigrant visa as well). Nothing surprising or unusual - just prepare all the required documentation listed in the letter from the embassy and everything should go smoothly like for me today!

Whole process took me around 2 h. Everyone in the embassy were very professional and friendly. Interview itself was in English only. Security check first (small bag and a folder with visa related documents allowed, mobiles must be handed over). Later getting my number, asked for visa related documents and later for fingerprints. After reviewing my case for a loooong time the consular official started very smooth interview.

I got so excited after approval that I totally forgot to ask for my birth certificate original back.
