My fiance finished her interview and was given the pink slip, told she was all set by the interviewer, paid Delbros and went home. We followed up with the embassy to determine what the delivery date of her visa would be and we were told that her documents were being reviewed prior to issuing of the visa. I obviously became concerned and began asking questions. The lady asked me if my fiance was given a white sheet of paper and she was not-just the pink slip. She then told me it was standard practice to have the documents reviewed prior to issuing the visa. I asked how long this takes and the answer was vague. What compounds the stress is that some other fiances she interviewed with already have their visas. I admit it has not been a week but we are confused by this information. Can anyone provide us information on what this might be all about? Are we worrying needlessly? We are just ready for this process to be over and to come together. Thank you.

Hello all,
My beautiful Marie had her interview today and we were approved!!!! She said the interview went very well and everyone was very nice. The Consul didn't look at any of the pitures, emails, letters, etc. The only thing he looked at was the Affidavit of support & my 2006 Tax return, her Birth Certificate, her NBI & Cenomar. They only ask Marie a few questions:
1- How did we met? When was the last time she saw me?
2- Where did she go to college?
3- What is the status of her brothers US work visa? They also checked his status in the computer.
4- How old are you and how old is your fiancee?
After that Marie asked is she approved and Consul looked at her, smiled and said of course you are.
The waiting is over and it has been worth the wait. She will be here on May 10th. I can't wait to start my life you baby.
Bryan

On April 26, 2007 my fiance had her interview at the embassy. She confirmed what has been written here before that the Filipino interviewer is not the most friendly and that the American interviewer was very friendly. They asked how we met, looked at photos, took a copy of her annullment and the affidavit of support, her NBI clearance and that was basically it. She told me that if she knew it was going to be this easy she would not have worried. The documents that we had worked so hard to prepare stayed in the file. We are finished and its a wonderful feeling to have it behind us. Good Luck to all that follow.

My fiance, Azenith, arrived at 6:30am for her 7:30am appointment. They began letting people into the Embassy at 6:45-7:00am. She took a number and waited. Her name was called and she went to the window where they asked for her DS156, DS157, etc. They instructed her to then go sit back down and wait to be called. At around 11:00am her name was called and she was interviewed by an american representative who asked to see our photo's and asked her just a few questions. Everything was in order and she was congratulated and directed to another window where she submitted the information for the delivery of the visa. All in all, she had a very easy time of it and the embassy prsonnel were very nice to her.
