The process is so fast. Everything is well organized. They are helpful inside and not rude. I was surprised to see them very accommodating especially their guards. The consul and the pre-screening girl were very nice too.

Arrived at embassy at 6 AM and was out by 12 PM. At the end of the interview, the interviewer notified Arlyn that document verification was required. This process will take 4 to 6 weeks. Very disappointing.

The wait was expected to be long. After the initial wait of three hours, every process progressed as expected. Pre-screener was jovial and accomodating. Fingerprinting had to be redone because of mix up. Consular officer was thorough and was soft spoken. Despite the anxiety because of the interview; overall, it was a good experience.

arrived about 6 AM finally finished everything by 4:00 PM K1 visa approve K2 denied for my daughter because she has claim to American citizenship that was a whole other process when i went over to ask about it before K1 interview i was told "it could take months to process" but after K1 interviewer told me to go over there they processed it that day. I don't know why they would tell me this other than deter people from walking in and filing for birth of US citizen abroad. also it is really stupid that you must pay for Visa processing for the USA to the bank of the philippines in pesos. they have a cashier on site and i was able to pay for passport processing with DOLLARS right there on the spot. a real weak spot in the system. I am American and I should be able to pay for everything in dollars in MY EMBASSY on the spot if i choose to do so.
