I had my interview appointment on June 20th, 2009 at 8:30AM but I decided to come to the embassy as early as 6AM. When I got there, there were many people waiting outside already. Here are the steps I took during my interview which I want to share to all of you so you will have an idea of the whole process:
STEP 1: Gate - Get ready of your appointment letter. There were three lines at the main gate before you can enter the embassy which is according to your visa classification. STRICTLY NO cellphones, camera, mp3/ipod, usb flash or any electronic devices and liquid are allowed inside the embassy, so I suggest not to bring all these stuff except for your documents, pen and wallet. When entering the embassy, submit all your stuff and yourself for inspection. Then you enter another door and follow the blue arrows to get to the waiting area.
STEP 2: Priority Number - When I entered the embassy the guard lead me to our respective seats according to the time of ... read complete review

Interview Date: June 18, 2009 at 7:00 AM.
The consul who interviewed me was very nice He was very courteous and polite - no problems at all! He spoke Tagalog very well and that made me feel at ease (though I opted to answer all his questions in English). The interview was nice and short. He asked for my name, my birthday and the rest of the questions were about my fiance: what he does for a living, how we met, how many times he's been to the Philippines, when we plan to get married, if we've ever been married before, if we have kids...and then he apologized about the long and stressful process with the petition and visa (my heart stopped!) but then he said, "Your visa has been approved!" Oh, I was so happy!! I could've hugged him! I will be forever grateful - I will pray for him everyday for the rest of my life (may he find/have happiness, success, health!!!)!
Now we're just waiting for my passport/visa to be delivered. ^_^ I will get t... read complete review

a blessed day for us today. i was infront of USEM at exactly 5am and i was the first in line when we were allowed entry at 6am. forms were checked once we were seated and i was given queing number.
i was done with finger scanning around 7am and just started reading my book when my number was flashed for pre-screening at window 19. the filipino guy was nice but a little meticulous on my requirements. good thing all my documents are in order, he asked for birth cert, nbi, police clearance in bahrain where i used to work for 3 years, my annulment papers and had to ask his superior why was our petition approved even if we got the annulment finality only in feb 2009 and we applied for the petition in jan 2009. i told him we got the decision in dec 2008, it was ok'd. whew! he asked me what was the ground for annulment and if i am the petitioner or respondent. he asked what does mike do for a living and he encircled his annual income while taking down notes as well.

We had our interview today June 10, 2009 and it went perfectly. The interview lasted about ten minutes, and all went well. God is great and was smiling down upon us today.
