My interview schedule was for 7 in the morn. My mom and I arrived at the US Consulate holding grounds for applicants at 5.45am and then15 minutes later I was called to line up for entry and security checks at the main gates. That all went for 10 minutes. Upon entry at the immigrant visa unit, clerical checks for all DS forms were done and I was given a queuing number. That was done in exactly 3 minutes. Fingerprint scanning happened 30 minutes after that at Window 16. Someone helps for the right imprint pressure on the digital contraption. Four minutes being seated after that, the very young lady pre-screener had then displayed my assigned number up to be screened at Window 18 and she only asked for my personal identification and security clearance papers, the affidavit of support together with the tax transcripts from my love and our pictures. Very crowded but they did a great job processing everyone through. We arrived at 6AM and were done and approved by 9:30AM. Everyone was very helpful and professional. Not a bad experience at all. Very pleased with the way we were treated.

My fiancee said the Consul didn't give her hard time and the actual interview lasted just 3 min..

Yet another case in point...DONT USE Philippine Travel agencies for visa help passport help etc. For the last year I have been fighting the "at the travel agency they said" battle. Since she is there and im in the US working I gave in and let her use Majima travel in Angeles City. It has been nothing but a rip off. We only used them to help with some paperwork issues (misspelled name here, missing name here, etc.) the whole time we were using them they pumped her up about you need to use us or your visa will be denied or late; etc. After all of the horror stories they told her it turns out the Visa interview was really the easiest thing we have done. The whole process was pain free; the embassy staff was accommodating and friendly, the questions were not some kind of interrogation, and she was informed at the end of the interview that the visa was approved!
