i had no wait at pre-screening and fingerprints. i was the first ever in line but i waited 45 mins for actual interview because -- 14 interview windows, only 1 consul doing the interview. and it seems she's late? or they probably pooled the applicants first.
they ask you to remove face mask at fingerprint, face shield & mask at the actual interview.
usual k1 questions asked (fiance's work, address, how we met, how many times has he visited the philippines, is he a filipino and when he immigrated to the US), nothing too personal (like what we have in common) nor too weird (color of his toothbrush).

My wife had an early interview, so she got there before 6 AM. She said she was twentieth in line. I was in Manila, but they are banning petitioners from attending the interview. The vendors were outside selling stuff and making up fake things about the embassy. My wife heard that only ballpoint pens (she had a different kind) were allowed inside, so she bought one. It turns out she didn't have to sign anything. (Don't listen to the vendors). The guard checked her DS-260 and passport. She didn't bring her phone in either. The group of applicants was let in around 6:30 AM, but my wife didn't have her interview until 8:30 AM. Her scheduled interview was way earlier than that though. She saw a Filipina mother and child turned away at the first check of documents station because they didn't even complete their medical exam yet.
She entered the building, and the Filipino employee asked her some basic questions about her birthday, name, petitioner's name, etc. She then did her ... read complete review

Wife appointment was short and with a few questions. However, one important thing was that they sought to verify that she was the mother of our one U.S. citizen child. Luckily I thought to include both his PSA Live Birth and CRBA in the records which they reviewed. Further, I was suprised that they kept most of the civil records and told her they would be returned with the passport. Of course she was approved but she said that their were many denial from the dejected look on many faces once they left the interview windows. I checked her and my stepson's status this morning and both say "ISSUED" already. That was really fast. Now just to wait the actual passport from 2GO.
