well other than spending 3 hours in the embassy everything went well. our pics/evidence were kept and looked at for 45 min. then returned. (4) k-1 interviews that day 2 couples, and 2 by themselves. 1 of each approved, 1 of each denied. Well i couple decided to open the sealed envelope. automatic denial and reschedule/payment of the medical portion for them. The other was a considerable age difference and overheard were questions like "you realize he's old enough to be your father" but i think also there were other factors for the denial. Basicall she had 2lbs paperwork in a bag gave originals when they asked, answered a few questions like "when did u meet, how did u meet, where does he work.etc. and then just waited. By the way She was alone so its possible just be well prepared and follow their directions.

There can be much confusion when dealing with this country, not all the instructions are clear and directions to forms are not complete. It is difficult to communicate whith the Conulate because they are only available for certain days of the week and for only certain hours. I have noticed that they change this time to time, so what I post here can change. I was only able to communicate with the Consulate Monday - Friday (except Wednesday) from 3pm till 4pm. On Wednesday they where not available at all. Sometimes when calling the line was busy and they were not able to place me on hold, due to that their hold capacity was full.

However, they were very helpful and assistant when you were able to talk with them directy in person at the embassy. Our Interview went well, we did not go into the room for seperate interviews and we were out within one hour with the visa approved and the ticket for DHL. We got the passport at DHL in two days, however there was a problem with th... read complete review

Except for the long wait to be interviewed, everything was great.

First interview went ok everything we had sent in was correct.
They did take original birth and divorce certificates
Was denied because USC was no present for interview(yes it not legal but it still happened)

Second interview arrive a little early. Watched window 8(the death window) everyone out of there got rejection letters all day(the pink slip of death).
Was called about 90 minutes late. The lost her packet, sat down 1 hour later called again found packet and ask for more proof. We told them we had none because you requested none. Sat down again waited for over 2 hours for final interview. Left the embassy in shock when we was approved. (DID not look happy in embassy because 90% of the people were going to window 8

Another note all male USC or fiancee in the embassy waiting room had the pink papers of death.

The staff were courteous. The assisted us at the line on the street, through security, to the visa waiting lounge and while waiting. Spanish was spoken by all. The interview PA system was not very clear sometimes, but we could understand the consular nonetheless. We were given instructions clearly in english and in spanish at times. We did not have to wait long (15 minutes for first call, 1 hour for second call, and then less then 5 for final call).

Only problem is they could of had better instructions in the interview packet that was sent out to my wife. Other than that I give it 4 out of 5. Nobody is perfect.
