Wow--I can´t believe how smoothly and quickly our interview experience passed by! Here´s what happened this morning in Lima...
Our interview was scheduled for 9:30 am. We arrived at the embassy around 8:30 am and were directed to the long line of people waiting. A man was going down the line looking at people´s papers and passports. After maybe 5 minutes in line, we were at the front. The man took our interview letter, circled the date and wrote "29" at the top. My mom came with us, but they said only one other person could go inside, so she had to wait outside the embassy. We entered the small security vestibule and then continued to another line outside the side door of the embassy. Some people were being directed to an outside tented area (tourist visa hopefuls) and others, like us, were let inside to the waiting room.
Inside, there were many windows and 2 doors. We sat down and about 5 minutes later, my husband was called to window 14 (I ... read complete review

hi guys i was LPR, and i become us citizen in april 30, at the time i sent my certificate of naturalization i sent together form g38 which is almost the same thing than ds3230 that save some time and it works pretty good. another tip is that you can sent both forms i-864 and ds-230 at the same time and nvc will process ds-230 the same day they received and i-864 affidavit of support a week later.

I don't have all the details as I was unable to be there with my wife. Here is the little I can share:
She arrived about 1/2 an hour before her interveiw and was given a number. She made her way through various windows asking questions and requesting documents. At one point she was asked for a RENIEC endorsed original marriage certificate. It is a long story, so I will cut to the chase...we had an original, but it was not RENIEC endorsed. She continued to go through the process, and they called her to an interview room. She signed the Part II of her DS-230. She was asked how we met, and when she answered, the interviewer's eyes raised (see our story for detials). Then she was asked if she had pictures (she did), and that was it. She was handed a yellow piece of paper, stating we were missing the required document. She was told when she got the document to DHL it back to the embassy with her passport and it would take about 10 days to complete. My wife called me... read complete review

The process for the interview was not difficult. Called to two windows, one to turn in the passport and the other the medical results and turn in photos and to ask my husband some questions. Took about 20 minutes total. The man wrote #10 on our appointment letter when he took it. We had our interview about 10am. Even though we had #10 on the letter, we were the 5th interview.
We went in together and my husband signed some papers. Then I left and the CO questioned him. Then I came in and he left and I was talked to. The CO had no questions for me. She believed that my husband married me fraudulently. Then he returned to be told the visa was approved. We left to pay DHL.
I wrote a detail description of the interview in the Embassy forum. It was a very grueling interview, but it worked out in the end.

We arrived about 7:45 in the morning. A gentlemen checked the paperwork out front as to the purpose of our visit. We were then let in and asked to wait with many other people in the Immigrant Visa room. We were told to expect a wait of about 4 hours. Aorund 8:15 my wife was called up to window 11 where they collected her photos and passport as well as her medical exam. She was then told to have a seat. At about 9:15 my wife was called to window 12 where she was asked approximately 5 questions.
1. Where and when did you meet?
2. Do you have any family in the United States?
3. When was the last time your spouse visited?
4. When was the first time he visited?
5. Do you have any photos and can we see them?
She answered all the questions and was then asked to have a seat and wait to be called to the interview and that I could accompany her. While we waited she told me all the questions they asked. At about 9:45 we were called to room... read complete review
