My fiancee and I arrived at the consulate shuttle station around 6:00 AM. There are really no clear directions to this place, but since ther eis so much security in Islamabad, it isn't hard to get stopped and then you can ask directions.
We got our tickets and waited to be called for teh shuttle to the US embassy. There were lots of scans and pat-downs but once inside, you just take a seat and wait to be called several times to different windows.
Once she was called to the interview window, I went with her. They kinldy greeted us and promptly told me I could take a seat again and wait. They were very polite. One owman asked the questions while another stood by in case a translation was needed.
After 10 minutes or so, they told her the visa would be mailed in 7-10 days. All this, and the medical report did indicate inactive TB, B1 status.
We have met in person 4 times including this visit, and also used a lawyer for help in fil... read complete review

I'll keep it short and sweet. My wife was at the visa interview for her immigration visa (IR-1/CR-1). She was the first in line so her name came up in about 15 - 20 mins. She was just asked one question "What does you husband do?" She answered it dutifully and then the nice interviewer told her that she will receive her visa from the American Express courier service within two weeks.
She got out the embassy, got home and called the american express courier (the embassy gives you a sheet that has all the contact details) and told them that if it is possible for them to give her the immigration package and her passport sooner. they said to pick it up at 5:00PM. So my wife got the passport and the visa package back the same day. People have told me that this is rare.

Hi All, as promised i am posting my interview experience here, before this i will like to mention that i got refused and asked to file waiver as i have a conviction of using false ID in UK and i decided not to hide it,dont compare it with your cases, all other males with me on the day got approved and given green slip of Administrative processing.
I arrived in islambad a day before and stayed in guest house called White Palace on Embassy Road (they charge Rs 2000 per nite, telephone no 051-2278086,0512276506)room was clean with attached bath and was good for two,had tv frideg,AC though stil it was not good for those who are looking for extra luxury.
I booked metro cab for 5 o clock in the morning there min is 400 Rs but its secure and reliable 051 111 222 787, 051 111 888 100,reached and shuttle bus service at 5:15 which was too early they open at six and than they give you ticket by 7:30 i was in embassy and than the regular stuff happened finger prints and than me... read complete review
