Reached shuttle service around 7:30 . I recommend taking executive shuttle since it leaves on time rather than taking forever and waiting for passenger and leave when it's full . Charges rs 500. You need to provide passport at the booking.
Reached embassy and foolishly I was in non immigrant que ,had to change que and was let inside . Wasn't given any token # . Had to wait almost an hour for biometrics. Then after that went in "actual"interview hall . The security man took interview letter and asked to take a seat with many other. After 5 mins I was called by name , the Pakistani man behind the window asked for passport , and medical report . Asked my contact # and asked where i would like them to send passport . Then Gave me Amex courier sheet with sticker . Again asked me hve a seat and wait begins.
Non immigrants are called by token numbers and immigrants are called with names for interview. After 15 mins my name was called .
I went to window #4 , a African ... read complete review

Alhamdolillah! my wife's visa was approved on Jan 30.
She went to the shuttle service at 6:30 and paid Rs. 500 for the shuttle ticket. Then she she waited there for the shuttle to take the 8am appointment people. She was then taken to the Embassy around 7:30 where she had to get in the immigrant line. Then she went inside the embassy and gave her finger prints and then gave her medical record. Then she waited for her name to be called by the CO lady. The CO lady was very nice. She asked the usual questions:
1. What is your name?
2. When did you meet your husband?
3. How did you meet your husband?
4. When did you get married?
5. Is this your first marriage?
6. Do you have any children?
7. How long your husband in US?
8. Where your husband lives?
9. Where your husband works?
10. Are you going to work in US?
The overall experience was very good and the niceness of the CO lady made my wife ... read complete review

Alhamdulillah my husband was approved today. His appointment was at 8:00AM. He said they interviewed him for not more than 5 mins. As soon as he got in they took his fingerprints and medical reports. They also gave him a token to pick up his passport. Later he was called by an American lady to the window. She asked him for 2010 tax returns, my husband gave her 2010 tax return transcripts and my recent pay stubs(10-15). She then asked him general questions about me, like how many times we met after marriage?, how we met, etc then she saw our wedding pictures and pointed to my mom and asked who she was.
Then she said Congratulation and that he will receive his visa in 7-10 days. Inshallah he'll get it by next week. Thank you vj members for all this great information.

1st Interview in December of 2009 went well but they asked very few questions. They kept my passport. I requested it back in May of 2010. Second interview in May of 2011 went better. They asked a lot more serious questions. Told me they would not hold my case any longer and that it could be about 1 more month. They did not ask for my passport. As of January 2012 I am still waiting.
