My wife has her interview at Islamabad embassy. As soon she entered in embassy she submitted her Medical and passport. Then she had her fingerprints done and at the same time they gave her a token to receive visa. Then she called for interview and consular asked her few questions about me;
1. Who is sponsoring you?
2. Who is your husband?
3. Where he work in US and at what position?
4. How much he makes or salary?
5. Is the marriage was arranged?
6. Who arranged this marriage?
7. When last time your husband visited you?
8. What is the date of your marriage?
9. Then he asked to show some wedding pictures? He asked couple of questions here and there...
At the end, he said, all set. Your visa is approved. Congratulations!! You will receive your visa in 10-15 days. The interview only last less than 5 minutes and my wife was out of embassy at 8:45am.
My wife was the third person they interv... read complete review

Hi to all the VJ members there ,i wanted to share my interview experience so that people may get some benefit from it, especially th the Pakistani Vj members....
I had my interview scheduled on 10th of May 2012 at 8:00am . I and my brother reached the U.S shuttle service at 6:20am, submitted our cellphones at a separate counter (they keep it safe with them and give u a tag to take it back after returning) , we bought tickets for shuttle (500rs per person), shuttle arrived there at 6:50am, went through the security check and showed the tickets to the man outside the shuttle than we got inside it (tip: keep the tickets saved with u, after the interview the shuttle will take u back to the U.S shuttle service again only after seeing these tickets)
We reached the embassy at 7:15am there were initially two lines one for immigrant and other for non immigrant outside the embassy. I joined the immigrant que, the person accompanying u now has to sit here at this point a... read complete review

It was fairly easy. It was a good experience. Followed procedure in the morning, fingerprints, etc.
Was asked a few general questions that were posted here earlier by other people as well. Such as name of fiance, where will you be going, etc.
We were nervous before the interview. Just because people have posted a lot of negative experiences here. But mostly if your case is straight forward, i think it goes pretty smoothly.
His interview lasted about 5mins. and he was approved right there. He was told, he will receive his visa in 8-10 days. He got it on the 10th day. javascript:emoticon(' ')

My wife was at the diplomatic enclave that houses all foreign embassies at 7 am sharp. As soon as she arrived, the bus that takes applicants from the waiting area to the actual embassy was already standing there. The officials rushed her immediately right from the door and hurriedly told her to get on the bus immediately. She barely had time to give her belongings to her parents, quickly check if she had all her documentation and then be ushered in. She reached the embassy, got off the bus and stood in line for Immigrant Visa applicants. When her number came she was told to hand in her sealed medical envelope and appointment letter and then was told to wait in the waiting room. Her interview was scheduled for 8 am but she had to wait until 10 am.
At 10 am she was called by the consular officer, who had all her originals in front of him. There was an Urdu translator standing behind the CO. He first asked her if she would like to give the interview in Urdu or English. My w... read complete review
