Our visa was approved from the Islamabad, Pakistan Embassy on the 8th. We arrived at the embassy around 7 and the process started at about 8. We were called at the first window to get a token number after they saw our interview letter. Then we sat down and were called at the second window to submit finger prints after a few minutes. Then waited again for a few and were called to another window to submit key documents (Nikah Nama (Urdu), Nikah nama Nadra, birth certificate, passport, Passport photos). We were then called to a fourth window for the actual interview. The interview was straightforward and included a few basic questions. I accompanied my wife to each window and we were not interviewed independently nor was I told to go take a seat by the interviewer.
From my wife (Beneficiary):
1: Who is sponsoring you?
2: Was this an arranged or love marriage?
3: Who arranged it?
4: Are you cousins?

My mother recently had her immigrant visa interview on July 19th, 2018. The officer asked her general questions and whole process went really smoothly. She was told at the end of interview that her application is approved and she will receive her immigrant visa in 1-2 weeks. It's been close to 3 weeks and not sure what is causing the delay. We haven't received request to submit any additional documents or any update from the Embassy. Upon calling them they informed my mother that her visa is still in process (not administrative processing).
I will appreciate if someone here can guide me about how long it took them to receive their passport once their visa was approved. Specially if it was to do with their parents application.

I had my interview on the 27th of June 2018. I live in Dubai so I had to book a hotel in Abu Dhabi. Booked Premier Inn hotel which is only 5mins drive form the embassy. My interview was at 8:00am but I was so stressed that I reached the embassy at 6:00am. I was the first was in queue. My number was called the lady took my bio metrics and told me to have a seat. Everyone in the waiting area was nervous. I was called in a room the immigration officer took my papers she asked questions:
Where did you meet you wife?
How long have you been married?
What are you going to do in the US?
Where will you live in the US?
She asked for proof i domicile I handed over the papers to her. She said your wife has to file tax returns and get a joint sponsor. (my wife has lived outside USA since she was 6. However she kept going back for vacations) She handed my passport back to me and told me to come on a Sunday or Tuesday to hand over the pending documents. I went after... read complete review

Alhamdulilah my husband's visa got approved this morning!!
His interview was for 7 am in the morning at islamabad embassy. He reached embassy around 6 30 and submitted his fone and cover bags for our wedding albums. Then he moved forward and after reaching to main building he stood in a line and got his token. Then, he was called after 5 mints for his biometrics and again after 15 mints for civil docs submission. After that he waited around hour to be called for interview. The few questions asked were:
who's calling you?
How did you guys met?
Love marriage or arrange marriage?
Are you guys from same hometown?
How many times you talk to your wife?
What was the last discussion?
My husband told CO that my wife is bit nervous so she asked him that is she still waiting for the results as its late here in US. My husband replied yes shes waiting.
Then she a... read complete review
