My interview appointment at the embassy was at 9 am. Me and my son stayed a 20 minute walk from the embassy and came there around 8.20 am. We got in the line where it says for immigrant visa. It was two people in front of me and then came two more behind me as we were standing there. In the other line it was about 15 people waiting.
The guard called one and one from each line. Then before we walked in to the security he asked for our passport and to show the bottom of our shoes.
Then we walked through security (just like at the airport) and I left my cell phone there and got a ticket to retrive it after the interview.
We were then told to follow the yellow line and walk in to another building and window G (I think.)I think all of this took about 10 minutes.
At window G a man was in front of me handing over papers to a man. It took quite some time, or at least that's what it felt like...
Then it was my turn. She asked me for our passports and found our... read complete review

So last night i came back from the US embassy in Sweden. And it was actually the most easiest thing during the whole visa process. My interview was schedueled at 9 in the morning and i got there 8 (when the embassy opens, they were really friendly and the guards were easy going and poilte. When it was my turn i showed the lady my paper and she barely looked at them, she wanted my passport, the birth certificate and the sponsor papers and the reciete on 1680 SEK and thats it. after 10 minutes she told me that i could take a seat and they would call my name. So when it was my turn again (it took like 15 minutes) another woman made me take an oath and asked me where i met my fiancee and thats it, APPROVED the whole thing took like 15 minutes, i dint even need to show pictures or anything like that. They are really polite and nice so dont be afraid

I went in before actual appointment time. Handed them all paperwork, was told sit and wait. They called my name after about 30 minutes, the officer asked me houw I met my fiance'. I told them how I met him and she said good luck with your life in the united states. Only took about 5 to 6 minutes

Kind and courteous very helpful with questions. We did however need to find a sponsor which we did prior to the cutoff date - Visa awarded in July.

I had my immigrant visa interview in Stockholm on Dec. 13th. It was a smooth experience, besides the fact that I was extremely nervous. It turned out there was no reason to be nervous at all. The hardest part about the whole experience was the waiting.
My husband was with me and they let him come in with me. My appointment was at 8.30 am, we were outside the embassy at around 7.50 am. There was only two IV interviews that day, so there was no need to be that early. They let you bring your purse and jacket inside, but they make you check any electronics. We waited inside for almost an hour before the interview. When we first got inside we gave the lady at window G our papers. I gave her an updated DS 230 and 300 kroner in stamps. It's very important to remember to bring stamps, check the embassy webpage for info. I wrote my name on an envelope and then sat back down and waited.
At around 9 we were called for the interview. It was a very nice lady that swor... read complete review
