I hope it can help you prepare for your interview. This is a recount of my experience at the American Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria
The Lagos Embassy is a very busy one.You will be amazed at the number of people you would find waiting as early as 5:30am. The embassy divided the process into 2 stages. The first stage is to pass security checks and get into the waiting area. The Second stage is the entry into the Main building which happens to be across the street to the waiting area.If you plan to drive yourself, there is a private car park very close to the embassy where you would get to park for 500 naira. In my case i drove and i was glad i did. I had set my alarm to go off at 15mins interval from 4:30am incase i overslept but luckily for me, i was up by 4am (more like i never slept).
I got out of my house by 5am and i was at the embassy less than 30mins later. I figured that was too early so i sat in my car and called my wife to while away time...A... read complete review

My husband had an interview today, when he arrived the attendant told him the interview was rescheduled to 7-18-2015 without any notices. I am so angry and sad. My heart is aching for my husband; travel so far only to be turned around. The attendant said that his sponsor should have told him of the change. I have not received any notices. My advice to everyone some how find a way to double check your interview time so want have this same situation.

Hello everyone,
I was scheduled by NVC for interview at the Lagos consulate on May 28th 2015.
My wife arrived Lagos from the U.S. a few days to my interview date and we checked into a hotel close to the consulate on the 27th of May.
However to our total dismay and shock we received a mail in the afternoon of the 27th that the interview is on the 2nd of July.
I went to the consulate as originally scheduled in the morning with my interview letter as sent to me by NVC but was informed my name wasn't on the list.
Please can anyone explain to me why I was treated in this manner and any chance of having my interview earlier.
Thanks!

My 3 girls were asked 3 questions. They didn't ask for any dna test. After the interview they were told Welcome to America. We give God all the praise.

My fiancee interview was 7am on May 14,2015.Prior to the date we had collected likeable interview question from here(visajourney) and google.I followed every single outlined and template from the start and i must tell you, this site was very helpful and directive in the cause of my fiancee coming to America.Back to the interview review on the 13 of may 2015 she had to go to lagos to stayed in one hotel in surulere not too expensive about 7k a night. she paid for two night because we were not sure what time her interview will be over and her other properties would be more safe there.I already told her to get atlease 3cab phone number so she can call to drop her at the embassy because her interview time was 7am.We had planned that she will need to leave her hotel room around 4.45am so she can beat the traffic afterall it better early than coming late.So around 7.30pm my time which is 3.30am Nigeria time i called her to wake her up but her two lines were already switched off so i just wish... read complete review
