MY EXPERIENCE AT THE LAGOS CONSULATE FOR SPOUSAL VISA INTERVIEW
I was scheduled to attend my immigrant interview at the Lagos Consulate General, Lagos Nigeria today 14th April, 2016. After I made the position of Nigerian Laws clear that payment of Bride Price alone without more cannot ground a valid customary marriage, (Sorry law can be boring), the Consular officer said she stood by her decision and suggested we file I-130. It was a stressful process but to God be the glory.. I had my interview on 11th of February, was asked by the CO to do a DNA test to prove a relationship between I and my father.. The DNA testing to approval took approximately 2 months which I heard some people say it took them 3-4 months. I Thank God and I give him all the Glory.. To others still in the process, don't worry, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.. Goodluck to you all... Can't wait to have my visa in hand.
