My astonishingly gorgeous fiance arrived at the embassy at 6:40am for a 7:00am appointment. I made sure she stayed in a hotel that is about 6 minutes from the consulate, that way she could take her time. I advise you stay in a hotel close-by to reduce stress on the applicant and eliminate the chances of getting caught up in the Lagos traffic. She waited outside until 7:04am, at which time they were ushered in and went through a series of checkpoints.
At the first Checkpoint, she was asked to open the medical report. She was then directed to the next checkpoint where they confirmed her identity and the GTBank payment receipt. The third inspection was a security checkpoint where they were stripped of their belts, watches, jewelry, etc. Now she arrived at the central waiting area where she had to present some documents and get a fingerprint scan. The interview kicked off after everyone had gone through the checkpoints.

My fiance called me on the phone full of excitement after his interview. We are APPROVED! He said the Officer was real nice and very conversational. She said she would ask 4 questions and ended up asking him over 20 questions in a very subtle manner. Who petitioned you? What does she do? Has she ever been married? Kids? How old? Birthdays? What address will you live at in the US? When and how did you meet your fiance? What are your wedding plans? Why the courthouse? How many times has your fiance visited Nigeria? When did you get engage? What are the dates of your fiance's visit to Nigeria after you started dating? Asked for recent pictures. Pointed to my mom and asked who is this? Where's this located? Any pics including your family? Showed more pics. He told me that the waiting was very excruciating with all the different lines. There were so many people scheduled for various interviews, but he said there was a small group of K-1 interviewees. He arrived an hour earlier at 6am for a ... read complete review

My husband interview was November 28 2016. I had traveled to Nigeria on November 24(thanksgiving day) and arrived on the 25th in Lagos,Nigeria. We stayed in Lagos till we departed to delta state,Nigeria. My husband and I left the hotel at about 5:15am(we could hardly sleep), arrived at 6am. We went through pre check your the gate and waited outside, at about 6:20, the workers at the embassy asked us to form two lines. One for non immigrant visa and the other for immigrant visa. Then started to tell people to come up by appointment time for immigrant visas. My husband appointment was at 7:15pm. He finically went in, I had to cross the street and went over to a canopy to stand and wait for my husband, I was not allowed in. I waited in the hot son, thirsty and hot for 6 hours. He came out, the expression on his face I thought he got the visa, but he got put on Administrative Processing. Contacted the embassy for a supervisor review and they denied my request, got my senator involved and t... read complete review
