Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

To the glory of God, I had my interview yesterday scheduled by 6:45am, I got at the embassey by 5am and met only few set of people who came before me.
I went straight to the waiting point, after all the security checks and we made it to the interview hall, I was giving number 7 and I had my finger print, around 9am I was called at window 17 where a young Korean looking guy was the one interviewing, he asked only these questions:

C.O: You were denied k1 visa in 2014
ME: Yes
C.O: Why
ME: Because we didn't have enough evidence
C.O: When was the last time you saw your wife?
ME: March this year
C:O: Your wife has 3kids what are there names?
ME: I told him
C.O: Can I see your pics together?
ME: I brought out my big album and showed him from our first meeting in 2013 when we had engagement party to 2017 when we got married at Ojo registery and our church wedding in Dubai 2018, and he said its ok, you are a... read complete review

The interview was this morning and my husband arrived early.

The lady asked him:

Who's calling you?
What State are you from?
How long since she left Nigeria?
What job is she into?
Where did she live in Nigeria?
Where do you live in Nigeria?
What's your favorite photo?

And then she said your visa is approved

My husband had his interview this morning at 10am. It’s was scheduled for 6:45am. These were the questions they asked:

1). Who is (Wife’s name)?
2). How long have you known her?
3). Where and how did you meet?
4). They gave him a piece of paper to write how and where we met, and my travel dates, year and what we did when I visited him.
5). They asked him if he paid my bride price and what he paid.
6). They told him to explain the people in the wedding album.

They gave him a white paper to submit additional documents.

We’re working on submitting the needed document. I wish all of you interviewing success.

I thank God for His Grace!

Interview: June 20th, 2018.

I (with my lovely Fiancé and my sister) arrived at the Embassy by 5:30am. We met many people waiting. My appointment was for 7:30am. The first security check started by 6:00am. After a short while, Nonimmigrant and Immigrant Applicants were separated and two lines were formed. All sealed envelopes (including Medical Result) were asked to open. All the checks were done, numbers assigned (My No.= 48) and we made our way to the Main/Interview Hall (across the street). Inside the hall, I joined the queue for the Immigrant Visa Applicants. At the window, the Nigerian Man requested for my Passport, 2 Passport Photos, Copy of my Birth Certificate, DS-160, Copy of Appointment Letter, Police Certificate, Medical unsealed envelope, Affidavit of Support and Tax Returns (I asked him what year and he said 'anyone you're with'. So, I gave him 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014). After that, I waited for my number to be calle... read complete review

Please see below the questions asked at the Lagos Embassy this morning as relayed by my husband;

CO: Who is calling you?
Ans: My wife and son
CO: Oh, really, your son is with your wife in the U.S.? Is he a U.S. citizen?
When and how did you meet your wife?
How long did you date?
When did you get married?
When did you see your wife and son last and where?
Can I see your pictures?
Okay, can I also see wedding pictures?
Can you point out yourself in this church photo?
Congratulations, you have been approved!

He got there 5:30am and walked out 9:30am. I am glad I stumbled on VJ when I did as it kept me sane, organised and informed. I will also update up until he gets to the States. Good luck to everyone.
