My husband arrived at about 5:45 and the appointment was at 7am. He said there were lots of people already there. He said he stood for about 6 hours as there was no where to sit. But praise be to God who got us this far. He said the counselor asked him a few questions and then he handed him the papers with where to pick up the visa and how to pay the green card fee before entering the USA. We are now just waiting on the alert to pick up the visa. He will be here two weeks. Will update once he gets to the states. Be blessed everyone and know that we are all in this together. 😘

Got to the embassy as embassy by 0530 hrs for my 0700hrs appointment. After going through several security checks, finger print scanning and document collection, I was finally called for interview by a white lady around 1000hrs. She asked only 3 questions : Who's calling, where does your fiance work and was he married ? Afterwards, she informed me the application has been approved and visa would be ready in 10 days time.
Tip: don't be worried, your case will be approved as long as you did everything right.

My Fiancé arrived at the embassy at 5:30am for his 6:30am appointment. At 6:30, everyone was called to the line separating immigrant and nonimmigrant applicants, and then was asked to open all seal envelops. Upon getting inside, he went through several security checks. After going through all the security check, they discovered that he mistakenly has his hair brush and data cable in his envelops and he was asked to go back all the way to the beginning of the security check. After going through all the security check twice, he went into the consular building for the immigrant interview. After getting inside, he waited for about 30mins then he was asked to submit the birth certificate, affidavit of support, tax, W2, Pay-stub, passport and passport pictures. Then went back to waiting, few mins later he was called for finger print. Then another long wait on your feet, exhausting long wait. Then finally a Caucasian woman called his number, when he got in front of her, he was asked to ... read complete review

I arrived at the Consulate at 5:00 am. They opened the gates to begin our security around 6:30 am to 7:00 am. I had to wait in line for about 30 minutes before I reached the security check. They checked my documents and searched me and they used the wand to ensure I was safe for entry.
We sat in an enclosed area, but not completely closed and completed some forms. Then they collected our passports and our interview letter and tagged the passport for K-1 Visa. Then we were asked to go to another building and then we went through scanner. We I went through the scanner the first time it beeped so they asked me to remove my belt and my shoes and put them in a container for them to run through scanner. I then had to re-enter the scanner and there were no beeps this time. So I retrieved my belt and shoes and then I went into the interview hall. There were many people waiting for interviews. There are separate sections for the immigrant and non-immigrant visa's. ... read complete review
