Just have all your documents ready and organized at interview. You can be asked for anything. (This helped husband a lot as we had it all in a binder and organized very well)
As many say. Frontload your documents, chat, pictures, etc at USCIS and again at NVC. You need to show CO that your relationship is real and this helps a lot.
We had RFE at USCIS , Needed to resubmit a doc at NVC , and then consulate asked for a joint sponsor due to a change in income in 2019 but in the end we were approved. I'm saying this to give hope to anyone in those situations. Just follow the process and don't let the bumps in the road you may hit scare or upset you. Just keep growing your relationship with texts, video chat, honesty, and visits as much as possible.(My many visits were why my income dropped. LOL.)
If anything this has taught me God's Plan is bigger than ours and we need to trust and keep it real.

12/22/2020 - Interview “Approved†- Pending Medical (CEAC reflected REFUSED) - The consulate never received the medical results even though the medical exam & vaccinations were done 20 days before the interview.
The Interview went well. The CO asked many questions in regards to the petitioner, including previous spouse full name and divorce date. There was approximately 25 or so total questions asked. The CO reviewed the photo album which showed lots of friends and family at the wedding, and multiple other pictures of the petitioner with the beneficiary’s mom. The CO asked how we met, why we decided to marry in Nigeria and how many visits have been spent together. For identification, the beneficiary took their current passport, the previous passport (the CO asked about the previous travel) , their University Degree , NYSC Certificate and their NIN card. The CO was friendly and shook their head often and commented on how everything is very good and t... read complete review

We need good advice, please. Our journey, despite COVID, has been good - that is until the interview at the US Consulate in Nigeria.
DQ: 07/11/2020
CR-1 Married October 2019
USC Petitioner
Our first interview was on January 11, 2021. My husband arrived, waited for a couple of hours, was called to a window. The CO told him that his interview had been rescheduled to February 1, 2020. We never received any notification. His email was verified and beyond frustration, my husband left the Consulate, checked out of his hotel, and traveled home (about a 6-hour ride). So, we've been planning now for February 1, 2021 - no letter ever received, just the note made by the CO on his January interview letter.
Today, I received an email that our interview was rescheduled to March 1, 2021. The letter said, 'this has been rescheduled by the Consulate for administrative reasons.' Three different interviews, two reschedules are painful. We've come so far and no... read complete review

Was fairly organized. CO my husband dealt with was straight forward. Wasn’t rude but was very organized and interview went quick. My husband did have to wait outside in a line for a few hours before going through security and being given a number. Once number was received he was seen within 35 minutes. We weee placed on administrative review for documents to verify my husbands identity from at least ten to fifteen years prior. (Wish they had told us it was a requirement ahead of time) we could have brought it.
