My SO arrived at his interview on 04/14/08 several hours early. He waited for hours and then was called for his interview. He took 7 pounds of paper proof of bona fide relationship with him. The interview lasted all of about 10 minutes. The Consulate did not look at the proof he brought but did keep it. At the end of the interview, she handed him a 221(g), case going to AP because she was not satisfied that we had a bona fide relationship. My SO said the officer was very cold, never once smiled, generally... not very nice. She gave to explanation of the 221(g) at all.
When I went to visit my SO in May, I had secured an appointment with the investigating officer. My SO and I were both interviewed by the fraud investigator. It was more like an interrogation. Questions ranged from how we met to our sex life... totally unbelievable!
2nd interview for my SO on 09/03/08. The officer said are you XXXXXXXX, he said "yes". She handed him a letter tellin... read complete review

My husband was not give a visa at this time as they believe because of the age difference that he is using me for an immigration benefit instead of for love. We were both interviewed as I was present for his interview because I knew they would have a problem with it. They felt I was credible, but they wanted to do an extensive background check and home visit on my husband as they were not sure about him. I have fought tooth and nail to get this far and just for a fleeting minute, I thought he had his visa as they didn't ask too many questions of him when they interviewed him the first time and they told him they needed to ask me some questions as well which I had no problemw doing. It just ended up that they didn't believe him and put us into Administrative Processing. There is lots more to this story, but I don't wish to post it here. If you are interested and want to know, please IM me and I will provide the details.

My fiance and I received our I-129F approval after 8 monthsof waiting and after going on to the visa center got transfered to the Lagos embassy. After not hearing anything about an interview date 2 months later I started emailing the Lagos consulate and inquiring about what was going on, after 2 weeks they emailed me back and told me his interview was April 30th and it was now April 17th. I believe they would have let him miss his interview without batting an eye. We had 9 days to prepare but we got past that obsticle
By the grace of God we got all the paperwork, police report and most of the medical exam done in 1 day and he kept his appointment. After waiting 5 hours they called him to the window ( how much more impersonal can they get )and before he was even sworn in the interviewing officer told him she wasn't giving him a visa. After taking his visa fee knowing she wasn't giving him his visa she proceeded to ask questions which he answered completely. She asked for ... read complete review

We were treated unfairly, the CO did not bother to look at our pictures or any other evidence that was brought into the Embassy. Our case was requested to be reviewed again by the USCIS.
