God has done what only he can do. I prayed for God to keep the Asian lady busy on the day of our interview and he did one even better she was out sick or had a personal day off who knows.
I will try to be as detailed as possible to help my follow country people.
Interview was scheduled for 10am but my husband left the house at 6am to beat the Lagos traffic. He got to the embassy at 6.30am, 7am queue was there already. He was like God do I have to wait till 10am before I can go in. God came through again and the security guard made the announcement for 10am interview to join the queue. He did and later opened his medical brown envelope and went through security.
The security guards where cracking jokes that my husband came with a box load of evidence. (This one never travel he dey bring box)
At the 1st window, they took his passport and some other documents. He was asked to sit down within 30mins he was called for the intervi... read complete review

All in all, I would say my sister had a not so bad experience considering that she did not have all her requirements.
She said she thought the CO was nice to her, kept reminding her ro look him in the eyes as she answers his questions.
My dad is her petitioner. She only had 3 pics of them together and did not have her medical requirements (did not get her appointment letter in time for that)
I am the sponsor (finance) so the CO had more question abt me. (who is she?, how did she go to the states, how did her husband - who took her there- get to the states (sis answered she does not know abt how my hubby got here)mom and dad still married? where is mom now (in nig for the holidays, sis answered). That was just abt it. We knew she was not going to get her VISA since was not fully prepared. so all in all we have co complaint. waiting on DNA test and a second interview.

Good day guys,
A quick review of the activities of today the 22nd of December 2010 at the LAgos consulate in NIgeria. My appointment was for 10am and I was leaving for the mainland to the island and knowing how traffic could be in them parts decieded to leave home for 7am in the morning. Better to get there early and wait than arrive late. Got a friend to drive me in case I need to pop out and jump on a bike if stuck at some point in traffc.....lol. Well lucky was the roads were free that early so we got to the embassy at about 8.30am. After parking at the popular car park I stolled around the embassy and and went to the guard to make some enquiries. First is the 10am appointment could sit in the blue seats provided directly opposite the embassy. I was told I would need to be around the embassy at about 15 minutes to 10am to queue up. SO I went back to the car and gently waited as the other place to sit around there would charge you 200naira to sit down on their chair.... read complete review

My fiance showed up early to the consulate and there was a line. Once the consulate opened they separated people and gave them a number by what type of petition they were applying for. While waiting my fiance was listening to the questions that were being asked and answered around him by other applicants to prepare himself. When it was his turn he was called up by a young, blonde haired woman. His observation was that between cases each person would pull up the next case and review it a bit before calling up the next applicant. The lady that called him up was looking down and smiling. He noticed later that she was reviewing our pictures. We sent over 100 of our vacation pictures and he said she seemed to already look at us favorably based on our photos. She called him up asked him basic questions about how long have we been together, when we got engaged, etc. He had one sticking point because it took me a year to come and see him after our engagement. So she asked him what took me so... read complete review

Our Experience:
A. Don’t expect to be treated with much dignity.
My fiancée went for her interview on November 9th (with 2 Emails from the Embassy that confirmed her appointment date to be 9th November. At the gate, however, she was told that her name was not on the list of people to be interviewed that day. She showed the gate-guys the 2 confirmation emails from the consulate, but they insisted that her name was not on the list. My fiancée also insisted that she did not compose the email by herself. Thank God that one of them eventually appended her name to the list at the gate, allowed her entry, and asked her to go ahead and make the payment. He then took the confirmation emails inside (probably to check with a more senior person). He came back and told my fiancée that her name was on the schedule for the following day (Wednesday 10th). What could have happened? They changed the date of interview at their discretion (after replying my 2 emai... read complete review
