Interview went very smooth. The questions were simple because the packet was so well organized.

since i wasn't there physically, ill try and write all my fiancee told me out of excitement...
so she had a tough time at the security cuz she forgot to remove things like lipstick and lotion from her bag... so she got pushed to the back of the line for each item.. yep, thats my girl!..lol. she said the security check had worn her off even before getting in.. since she was pretty much the last one waiting, she got good view of people's experience... but here are a few of questions asked of her:
- how we met?
- wen was the last time i came to Nigeria?
- where do i live?
- to give a little more details of where i live?
- if i was previously married or had kids?
- my friends?
- there was a year that i didnt visit, why was that?
- my education
- if we had any engagement or introduction? (when it was and gifts exchanged)?
- tell him more about me and how she feels?

This is a very late review. We were denied as consular decided fiance only coming to US for immigration. Duh! This is part of the process...Anyway mind was made up before she even said anything. As I recall my then fiance was only asked a couple of questions. Interviewer never asked for any additional evidence my fiance had with him. Tough consulate for those of us with legitimate relationships. We're now married and reapplying as a married couple. No matter what the consular at the time of our next interview decides, they cannot break our marriage bond and the love that we have for one another!

My mom got to the embassy at 09:15 for her 1000 am appointment. She was cleared in at 09:53. 11:40 approximately 1.5 hrs later she calls me to state she has been approved and that her interview went as follows:
Outside they were groupd into NIV and IV . She was then asked to open her medical envelope and then went inside.
She was first called to window 18 and submitted her passport photo and International passport.
Then she was called to window 13 and a caucasian male interview her. She was asked:
1. who is sponsoring you?
2. where does she live?
3. What does she do?
then he starts typing on his computer and says "congratulations, I am issuing you a visa, go and pick it up on wednesday or do you have someone to pick it for you?" she answered "one of my daughters"
I just want to thank everyone of you on VJ for your well wishes, messages and prayers. To those who are yet to get to this stage, the good Lord will direc... read complete review

Me and my fiancee were together in the interview. But my fiancee (from Nigeria) was in the interview mostly by hisself. He was interviewed by 2 officers. They went through his paperwork thoroughly and asked him lots of questions. He said it was kind of tough. And then they moved him on to the next officer. She was nicer and make the conversation light. I think it was tough because of the type of birth documents he had. I don't know if the US consulates just give Nigerians a hard time. But everything was legit so we didn't have any problems.
