My Husbands interview, July 12, 2012, 7am. He arrived by 5:30am, was the first one there, but still had to wait. He said the interviews was amongst others in a open area. During the time of his wait, he was assisting others with children and the elderly...he said he could hear others being approved and denied and it scared him. He noticed there was this man observing him for a long time, but he didnt think nothing of it, but he was the same man that called his name to interview him.
As soon as he sat down the man said, "Tell me about your wife, (called me by name)", He said he spoke freely and open, he asked about my son and his age, asked him what he knew about my city or anything in it, and my husband replied, he had "Family" awaiting him...A Mother, (my mother) that calls me son and gave her name. My husband offered to show pics and the Agent said, No...You ARE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HALLELUJA!!!!!!! NEVER SHOWED NOT 1PC OF EVIDENCE, though I sent in so much previo... read complete review

My husbands interview was today at 7am. He arrived to the embassy around 6am. They had everyone line up at 6:15am in order to enter. He was finished with his interview by 9am. He said he was the first to be interviewed in the immigrant visa section and that he was asked normal questions. How we met, When I came to visit, how many siblings I have, where certain pictures were taken, who were in the pictures (these were pictures I mailed with the I-130, she never asked for our albums) etc... He also said they did not request to see hardly any of the documents we had prepared, just our phone records and emails. The lady who interviewed him was very nice, young and seemed rather shy. She laughed a lot with him and had a tendency to roll her eyes at him in a friendly manner(example: when he told her that we traveled to Delta State to visit family the first time I visited him.) He will be able to travel in a weeks time!
A process we started in July last year, is nearly comple... read complete review

(Background: I am Nigerian-American, born and raised here in the states. I've traveled back and forth to Nigeria to see my dad's family several times. My fiance is Nigerian).
Our first Lagos experience was awful. My fiancé arrived for his interview yesterday, February 13th, 2012 with 3lbs of documentation: his K-1 visa forms, evidence of financial support, and most importantly, a large and bulky folder filled with evidence proving the authenticity of our relationship. Bulky yes, but neatly arranged and ordered too.
However, the officer refused to view the entire contents of our Evidence of Personal Relationship folder during the extremely short interview and, after requesting that my fiancé only pass her our photos together (Sept. 2009-March 2010; August 2011-September 2011) and extensive phone records detailing calls made several times a day, every day from May 2010-February 2012, she denied him a visa due to “lack of evidence.” She didn't ask him... read complete review
