The process was very efficient! Friendly staff, super easy process. The questions made sense for the interview I was going for, and the officer was very nice.
In and out and approved in less than an hour!

Interview date 08/30/18 10am
I got to the consulate at 9:30, went to security and they said come back at 5 to 10. So I went downstairs and waited in the lobby until 9:55. I went through security which is very easy, just place your interview documents onto the scanner and then you personal items. They took my personal items and put them in a locker, I got a number that corresponds to my locker. Then you walk through a scanner, they open the door to the consulate and direct you to the correct window.
I was directed to window 6 which is usually non-immigrant visas, so I was a little confused at first. I got up to the counter and was warmly welcomed by none other than the lovely B! She is a lifeline! She was so helpful answering all my emails leading up to my interview. She helped calm my nerves and relax before my interview. She checked all my documents and then took my finger prints. I have crooked fingers thanks to breaking them riding horses (lol), so I had some i... read complete review

We had our interview on a Tuesday (July 24th). The petitioner (US spouse) flew in to attend, though it wasn't necessary for her to be there. We forgot to print out our interview letter but had all our other documentation with us. Security let us in despite not having an interview letter (they just asked for the beneficiary's passport)—but they didn't seem happy about it. They keep all your things in a locker, after going through a metal detector/scanner thing. Would recommend having a (non-electronic) watch and a book or something to keep you busy as you're most likely going to be waiting for a while and there is no clock (only CNN showing the US time).
We went through into the consulate office, which is just numerous windows, and we were welcomed by B. She had our file open and asked us who we were and took the beneficiary's fingerprints and passport. B was very kind and calmed our nerves considerably. She asked for the timeframe the passport would need to be ret... read complete review

We were pretty shocked when our interview was scheduled almost two months out. I tried to get it moved up but I couldn't. They are very backed up at the consulate. However, on the day we arrived for the actual interview, the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
