Interview:
Interview was on Thursday, SO was asked many questions about everything. The questioning went fine. He was asked if he had additional photos of us, upon presenting them he was asked for photos of our engagement party. He did not have those photos with him so the consulate asked him to come back on Monday with the photos...no 221g as far as I know, just a paper stating that:
Further consideration for approval of the applicant's K1 fiance visa will be made upon presentation of the following documents: Fiance Ceremony Photos.
Return to Consulate with Photos Requested:
Upon arrival to the door, security would not let him in. They told him his interview was finished and that he must leave the photos with them and they would give them to the CO. They said they will call anytime.

The officer was a young man, who spoke mainly french. He didn't look at all of Aziz's paperwork, but told him he was sure that we were in love and not to worry they would be calling him soon for his visa. I had to send a couple of emails to be sure, because they gave him that confusing 221g paper, which reads like a denial, but it's not.
15 days after his interview we received the visa and 18 days after we were reunited.

Let me start my review by saying I am glad we don't have to deal with this consulate again anytime soon. They responded only to my initial email by sending a FAQ about K-1 visa processing. After sitting on my husband's (then fiance's) approved petition for almost 2 months and not responding to ANY communication, I had to get my Senator's office involved. That seemed to work miracles. They responded to him, to my recent email, and even sent the packet to my loved one. I think they are overwhelmed and understaffed. The interview went ok and we were both never so happy as when he picked up the visa and we got to leave the consulate behind!
