Interview was for IR-2 visas for 4 stepsons of US citizen married to their father, an LPR. Two boys were minors, the others age 19. Appointment time was 9:15 am, they arrived with their father at 8:30 am and he was allowed to accompany them through the process. They were admitted to the consulate waiting area and gave over their interview letters, ACS-stamped DS-260 confirmation, passports, and tourist visas. The man who took these documents then reviewed a large package of the documents from the NVC stage, gave them a number and asked them to wait. At around 9:10 they were told to line up and were walked over from the waiting area building to the main consulate building. After a while the group they were waiting with were formed into about 20 lines of 6 people each. They were instructed that when a window became available to talk to the consular officer in the cluster they were assigned to, to just walk up to the window for their interview. As they reached the front of their line they... read complete review

Great experience all around. I forgot the letter that says (You are eligible to schedule an appointment) this is needed to get entrance to the embassy. After waiting on the line (for a duplicate letter) for about an hour. My wife waited about 15 minutes once inside the embassy and interview was about 5 minutes.
They asked her questions about my fathers job and my job. Some other basic questions that a spouse should know.

Everything went smoothly on the process. I arrived at Juarez on Wednesday night Aug 13th and stayed at Quality Inn, very clean hotel and friendly staff.
For the medical exam I went to Servicios Medicos La Frontera, I made an appointment a week before and was scheduled at Aug 14th 8:00am but you can just walk in. There was no line by the time I got there and the whole examn lasted around 30 minutes (blood exam, x-ray, vision, physical). Quality Inn doesnt have a gym but they give you a pass for Total Fitness in Plaza las Misiones so working out in such a complete gym is a great way to spend the morning while you wait. Went back for the results at 1:30pm as instructed and another half hour wait. Crossed to El Paso with tourist visa in the afternoon and no problems there but the officer actually asked to see the paperwork after some thorough questions.
Interview on Aug 15th at 7:15am, and same as everybody: Waiting Room first, then security check and you get... read complete review
