It's been a long road getting to this point. Our NOA2 was approved on March 25th and it took until April 28th for the NVC to issue a case number. We paid the fees, did the DS160 and waited, and waited, and waited for the "letter" to arrive from the consulate inviting us to schedule the appointment. On June 22nd, feeling frustrated, my fiancee flew to Juarez to have the letter re-printed at the consulate window. The instructions state that residents of D.F. must have their medical and biometrics done in D.F. and we needed the letter to do the biometrics and medical.

The funny part to our story is that the VERY next day after my fiancee returned to D.F., she received the long awaited letter in the mail postmarked May 17, from Texas. The funnier part is that I received my copy in the US 3 days later. Moral to the story-- be patient and the system eventually catches up.

She did the medical and biometrics last week in Mexico City. The 7am appointments ... read complete review

The wait to enter took a while, but the interview per se was fast. The staff there were not too friendly -- they seemed very condescending and arrogant. I saw several instances of individuals being treated poorly. The interview went well. The consular officer was friendly and just asked some basic questions: what do you do for a living? How did you and your fiancé meet? What do your tattoos mean? Have you been to the United States before? When and where did I plan to marry? When did I plan on entering the US? At the end he just said congratulations your visa is approved. It took 5-10 minutes maximum. Happy this whole ordeal is over.

My husband had a good experience on his interview. He stayed at Juarez consulado which was a nice hotel and very close to everything. He was able to walk to all his appointments, medical exam, asc appointment, and even his interview.
He had his interview May 12, at 10:30. It took about 3 hours total. He was asked about his tattoos, his relationship with me, who he knows who lives in the US, and some other questions.
Even though the interview seemed to went well, he was unable to get an answer that day. He was informed that he needed to go through administrative processing and it would take 2-3 weeks to get an answer.

It took 6 weeks and we were told today that he was denied on 4 accounts.

Everything was very easy, the interview went very smooth and now we are very happy!
My fiance's appointment was at 7:15 AM and by 8:15 AM he was out.
I will be posting more details about the process soon!
