First, this review will be quite lengthy, but I know other detailed reviews helped calm my nerves before my husband went for his interview.

November 23, 2017
Based on the recommendations of others, we chose to fly in to El Paso and then cross into Juarez by land. We were very nervous about crossing, so I called around and set up transportation for my husband, our daughter, and me, in advance. We ended up using Amigo Shuttle ( http://amigoshuttle.info/index.html ). Our driver was waiting for us when we landed at the airport and took us straight to our hotel in Ciudad Juarez for $65. Crossing the border was very quick and painless. We were not asked for any documentation whatsoever.

We chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites (More on the hotel below, but highly recommended). It is not the closest hotel to the consulate or other buildings, but it is still within walking distance. We did not... read complete review

My husband said everything ran smoothly. He stayed at Ibiz, the offices were at a walking distance maybe 5 to 10 minutes away. His interview was set on a tuesday august 15 2017. He had his finger prints on friday and monday did the clinic exam. Unfortunatly, on tuesday his visa was denied since he was in the USA for more than 11 months.

Writing this with the help of my fiancé....

First of all Arturo is from Mexico City, Mexico, so some aspects will be different than other Mexican beneficiaries...

Citizens of Distrito Federal (Mexico City) preform their medical exam and their biometrics in CDMX (Mexico City). Beneficiaries from other parts of Mexico will conduct these appointments in Ciudad Juarez.

First things first we filed a DS 160, paid approx $260 and scheduled our biometrics appointment in CDMX and for our consulate interview in Ciudad Juarez. We did this on August 20th and there were no appointments available until September 20th or so. We chose to do it in October to give us some time to make a little money... anyway moving on...

Then several weeks later he made an appointment for his medical exam. Do not call to make this appointment more than 3 weeks prior to your interview in Juarez. They will just tell you to call back later.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and ate all of our meals at Barrigas. The Holiday Inn was comfortable and Barrigas was wonderful!
The interview went smoothly. The interviewer seemed to be impressed that my wife already had a tourist visa.
