Biometrics: I had my biometrics taken in Mexico City, the process in itself was very quick, 10 minutes tops. You have to bring your DS-160 confirmation page, passport and appointment letter. They also asked me if I had my NOA2 on me which I didn't, but I told them I did receive it. They put a sticker on the back of my passport with a barcode and my type of visa.
Medical: I had it done the very same day of the biometrics, the clinic is across the street. I got there at 7:30 and was out by 9:15. First the took a urine sample, blood sample, asked me If I used drugs, alcohol or smoked, If I had any tattoos and I if I had ever had problems with the police in Mexico or the US. Then a female doctor did the examination, it wasn't invasive at all and I felt very comfortable. I got my vaccinations last, and although they were optional for K1, I decided to get them anyway (I only got Varicella and MMR). I paid $7500 MXN for the medical and vaccinations (Around $375 USD).

I made most of my process from Mexico city, the fingerprints and medical , the cost was 340 usd because i already had the TDAP from IMSS (the vaccines they give you are TDAP MMR and Varicella)
I came in to the consulate in CDJ at 9 am they ask for your passport , interview sheet (p4) and the DS-260 , then you go through a metal detector before you can go through to the interview rooms (here they will give you a number).
When you go inside they send you to a room where they ask for the following:
Birth cert
Carta de no antecedentes penales
Marriage / divorce certificate
medical envelope (its a black one)
and the passport pics (make sure they are the right size i saw someone getting kicked back for not having the 2inx2in pics)
they review your documents, ask you who is the petitioner and the relationship to you a... read complete review

Some general info on visiting the US consulate in Cuidad Juarez:
On safety:
- Juarez has a well earned bad reputation as a dangerous city. I don't doubt that it was a few years ago during the last cartel turf war. My experience was that it is a city like any other. Malls and stores are busy. People of all sorts out on the streets. I'm sure you could find trouble, but you'd have to go looking for it.
On getting to Juarez:
- I flew into El Paso International. An Uber to the the Cordova Bridge Of The Americas was about $12. From there I walked across the bridge to the Mexican side. Easy-peasy. With a smile I said "Buenos tardes" to the soldier posted outside the customs office as I walked by. No stopping, no questions, no inspection, no problem.
On getting around:
- The area surrounding the consulate is not pedestrian friendly. Luckily the medical clinics, hotels restaurants, a mall, and a convienence store are right ... read complete review
