The first interview date was concerning. On the first date of the interview you are met with other Mexicans requesting the original paperwork from you and they are quite rude and harsh towards you. It makes the experience more nerve wracking, however when the second interview comes around which for us was next day, the American officers holding the interviews are polity.

Not a bad experience, in and out relatively easily. They made us wait for an unnecessary 2nd interview, but it was overall an easy experience.

We had our interviews at the Ciudad Juarez consulate. We stayed at Casa de las Bugambilias and they gave us a lot of support for our entire process. We highly recommend you stay at Bugambilias. The interview date they give you is just handing over paperwork. It’s important to have everything organized to hand over, and Bugambilias or your lawyer can help with this. Then they give you a date for the actual interview, usually the next business day. In our case because our first interview date fell on the Friday of a 3 day weekend (Monday is MLK day), we had to wait until Tuesday for the interview.
Questions they asked at the interview:
What is your sponsors full name?
How and when did you meet?
What does your sponsor do for work?
How much does she earn?
Do you have her tax information? (Please give it to me - the I... read complete review

Both appointments at the consulate were quick and easy. The first was for document submission, which took about 2 hours including waiting time. At document submission they give you your final interview date, which is always the following business day. The final interview was also quick and easy. About 2 ours including waiting time. The interview itself was maybe 10-15 minutes. All the people there are very polite and helpful. The consular officer who does the interview was also very polite. They didn’t ask for any additional documents, only asked the normal questions.
