Our interview was very straight forward and pleasant. We had one glitch when the person initially processing our paperwork told us a document did not have a strong statement needed in regards to child custody. We were a little stressed about this and drove to the court that day to see what we could do. Long story short is the person did not read our docs carefully enough because the person who conducted the interview told us our documentation was very strong. As the petitioner I chose to fly to Malaysia and be present for the interview. My fiancee and I both believe my presence helped us in getting approval. The interviewer actually called me (petitioner) in to a booth by myself and asked me a couple of basic questions. How we met; how long had we known each other, etc. Just be completely honest in the entire process and things will work out.

Interview date : 20th Feb 2014
Document submission time : 9am
Interview time : 1.30pm
Sorry for the late post because I do not have time to write a long review on my interview. I finally find a time to write this review and hope it helps everyone down the road for those that have upcoming interview. I was worried myself for my own interview and have been reading the review many times so that I get everything in order.
I arrived at the embassy 7am because I do not like to be late for anything. There's already 5 others that are there but they are all having interview for B1/B2 visa which will be at 7.40am (first time slot). I joined the queue anyways. At 7.20am the guards asked those who are going to have interview at 7.40am to queue up and exchange for their visitor pass.
Note: left queue is for visitor pass, right queue is AFTER you get your visitor pass. Do not queue on the wrong lane otherwise you will need to join the queue... read complete review

My interview was scheduled on January 9, 2014. I will write is as I remember it because I was so nervous so my body just do whatever m brain was told to do. Here is my experience. My fiance was there to accompany me
We arrived at the embassy at 8.20am. We walked from my uncle's house to the embassy which is not far at all. It took us 15 minutes to get there.
Once we get there, there was a guard waiting outside and he directed me to a window to get my visitor's pass. I showed him my interview letter and I gave him my MyKad. My fiance was not allowed in at this point. He stamped a "B" on my letter and gave the letter along with a visitor's pass to me. The "B" is the letter that you should press when getting your queue number.
After I get the pass, I went through the door for scanning. They will scan your stuff, this time, I left all my stuff with my fiance and only took what's important with me. I put my stuff for scannin... read complete review

My interview was on the 19th Nov 2013 (well, it was only yesterday)
Documents submission: 9am
Interview time: 1:30pm
I reached the embassy around 8:20am and there were already a lot of people queueing. There were 2 lines; first line to get your visitor pass, and the second line to actually get inside the compound.
You can only go inside the guard post 2 people at a time because the post is really small and you have to drop everything inside the x-ray machine (what do they call those?) including your watch and shoes and I'd suggest you not to wear your costume jewelries coz you'd be asked to take them off (the x-ray thing detects metal).
There 2 guards inside the post (well 3 including the guy who gives your visitor pass) and 2 guards outside. And they're really nice! Well I believe they're nice to you if you're nice to them!
I left my phone and my car keys and went inside the compound.

Went for my K1 interview Oct 22, 2013
Embassy officer who interviewed me in the afternoon was a very friendly woman.
Swore me in before getting me to sign my forms and went on to cancel my past tourist B2 visas (both my old expired one and the current 10 year visa) before she even started to interview me - my hopes were definitely up by then!
Asked me a few questions - how we met, when we starting dating, where my fiance works, what he does at work, his siblings, pulled a few pictures out to ask me who took them, where it was taken. Always smiling and started typing as soon as I started answering, felt like she had already made up her mind before she even started the interview - most likely based on the big amount of relationship evidence we submitted early on during the petition, that and 5 years worth of proof...javascript:emoticon('')
She told me to wait outside again to be told where to collect my passport and ... read complete review
