K1 interview completed at Nairobi consulate this morning. It went well, Visa was approved pending submission of a new birth cert and police clearance. Questions asked; "Tell me about your relationship, how did you meet, how long have you been together, what does your fiance do, when did your fiance start working, when did your fiance go to the U.S, When did your fiance become a U.S citizen, Do you have any kids, Have you ever been married before, when do you guys plan to get married".
We had prepared well over 250 photos and the CO looked at every single one of them, paying close attention to the ones taken with our families and for some reason the kissing photos. Seems that the photos taken with family helped strengthen our case and convince her that the relationship is real. Questions about a previous B2 Visa application (that was denied) also came up.Â
After the interview fiance was given a form with instructions on how ... read complete review

Our journey started with an injury and Evacuation that lead to needing a permanent residency for my husband due to on going medical needs.
The interview was on March 19, 2020 right when covid lockdown happened. His case was put into administrative processing. We waited until Nov. 23 2020 for a medical expiration in the medical needed to be redone.
The medical was unable to be uploaded due to difficulties so his medical was postponed for 24 hours until November 24 2020. Medical and passport was delivered to the Embassy by next day November 25, 2020.
My husband continued to stay in a hotel room waiting for the passport with Visa to return to the DHL for pickup until Dec. 14, 2020.
We had to email the embassy back in order to get the tracking number in order to pick up the Visa from DHL.
We were fortunate that we were able to get the case from administrative processing to completion. We are looking forward to reuniting this coming Sunday December 2... read complete review

The interview was on March 9th 2020 and while the put it under AP and we sent the documents they needed right away, they sent him back to across the boarder to Uganda and shut everything down because of Covid. We have been waiting ever since and now the case is mission critical and still waiting. We don't mind giving what they need but it has been to long we have lived apart and just need someone to finish the AP.
