Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Our journey started with an injury and Evacuation that lead to needing a permanent residency for my husband due to on going medical needs.
The interview was on March 19, 2020 right when covid lockdown happened. His case was put into administrative processing. We waited until Nov. 23 2020 for a medical expiration in the medical needed to be redone.
The medical was unable to be uploaded due to difficulties so his medical was postponed for 24 hours until November 24 2020. Medical and passport was delivered to the Embassy by next day November 25, 2020.
My husband continued to stay in a hotel room waiting for the passport with Visa to return to the DHL for pickup until Dec. 14, 2020.
We had to email the embassy back in order to get the tracking number in order to pick up the Visa from DHL.
We were fortunate that we were able to get the case from administrative processing to completion. We are looking forward to reuniting this coming Sunday December 2... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

The interview was on March 9th 2020 and while the put it under AP and we sent the documents they needed right away, they sent him back to across the boarder to Uganda and shut everything down because of Covid. We have been waiting ever since and now the case is mission critical and still waiting. We don't mind giving what they need but it has been to long we have lived apart and just need someone to finish the AP.

Review Topic: IR-2 Visa

Hello. Does anyone know when the embassy will re-open. Here in kenya we don't have much cases and the embassy is still closed. I was about to be scheduled for interview. I received my "documentarily qualified" document about six weeks ago. Thanks all

Review Topic: K1 Visa

The K1 interview process in Kenya was a very good experience. There were clear instructions of what to bring to the interview, and how to get the medical examination done online which was very helpful. The interview as well was also a good experience. The questions that were asked were,

How did you meet?
What is your fiance's full name?
Where does your fiance live now?
Where did you meet?
How many times have you met each other in person?

Then since I had pictures ready, and more current evidence at the interview window - the interviewer noted that my fiance was in town with me at the time of the interview. She asked me a few more conversational questions at that time and then she told me I was approved for my K1 visa. I would receive an email with a DHL tracking number once the visa was mailed to my specified DHL/Courier, and I could pick up my passport and visa.

Overall great experience!

Review Topic: Other Experience

The interview questions were answered honestly and truthfully. They asked for more documents which was very unexpected considering the case documents were very thorough and that the case is on expedite under humanitarian Aid. Due to the coronavirus the administrative processing of the DHL documentation that was sent to the Embassy and received was put on hold. We received an email stating we will be notified when the documents and the Visa are ready to be picked up and he was to return back to Uganda. For a critical case as expedite under humanitarian Aid the wait is excruciatingly long and now with the virus even longer. It is critical that the Visa beneficiary (my husband) reunite with his wife (me) petitioner as soon as possible. The case is very clear and stands on solid ground.
