So, i had my interview scheduled on 29th September.. That was on Tuesday.
I arrived there at 5:45am, yes that early, but i found about 5 people standing outside the gate. I had my daughter, 9yrs old. The gate was opened at 6:00am. We were quite a number and the queue was long out side. We ended up being the first on the female queue. A search is done one by one as you enter. At this point you enter with your phone etc.. Then we went inside, another stop, there is a lady at the reception, she confirms your name is on the list.. we sit down on a queue.. then we start entering two people at a time. This time is for a serious security check. You declare what you have that is prohibited.. then place it in the tray. and also the bag. It enters the machine. I had removed everything, but you just know women bags, we never really know what exactly is in the bag.. So the computer kept showing there was a tweezer in my bag..lolest.. we searched for so long.. it also showed a plug.. i did ... read complete review

here is my review for K1 visa. I arrived at 6:30 for my 6:45 appointment , there was quite a line already. went through security check, they took my electronics and gave me a card to get it afterwards. went to a waiting area inside and was given a number...mine was C427, after this was asked to wait outside (it's freezing so dress warmly)...about an hour later was called to counter 8 (there are I think 1-11) and a lady asked for my ds 160 form, birth certificate, police certificate, mrv receipt, affidavit of support (scanned copy with no supporting documents)...she then asked me same questions like on ds 160 application then asked to wait outside. ..
After like another hour, was called for fingerprinting. ...more waiting and after like one and half hour later was called for the interview itself.
my CO was a guy in his thirties, nice guy...said good morning and asked me to raise my right hand and swear. After this he asked me these questions
1.who is Adam to you ... read complete review

My fiancé arrived at the embassy at 6:20am on a Monday. There was already a queue, and he said it remained first come, first served throughout his whole experience today (no one cared that his appointment was set for 7:15am). He went through security, showed his interview date confirmation, had to drop off his cell phone, then wait. He was glad he dressed warmly since he had to wait outside, in between his stops at the 3 separate counters. In total he was there for 3 hours before getting approved (!!!) Here's the detail of all that was needed from him, though we recommend everyone be as overly prepared as possible!
1st counter--a lady asked him to quickly hand her the following items:
-Confirmation of interview appointment (printed from ais.usvisa-info.com website)
-passport
-birth certificate & copy of birth certificate
-DS-160 confirmation page
-DS-160 payment receipt
-police certificate
-I-134 Affidavit of Support... read complete review

Officer was friendly and professional. Asked a few questions regarding my fiancé and our relationship. Looked through all 206 photos I brought with then smiled at me and said congratulations.

I arrived at the Nairobi embassy at a few minutes before 0600. Soon thereafter the gate opened. People were called in according to their appointment times. First up was going to a window counter to hand over any documents they want to see, marriage certificate etc.. Then I went back to my seat. A few minutes later, I called up to have my fingerprints taken. Then I sat down again for a few minutes.
When I was called up the third time, I was sworn in and the interview started. Questions asked: 1. When were you married? 2. What do you do for a living? The consular then explained the visa would not be approved based on spouse not having a job. The people at the embassy were friendly and made me feel comfortable.
Note: A few weeks after denial, visa was approved after my husband's friend agreed to be a joint sponsor.
