The interview was a very smooth experience, besides the wait. I was scheduled for 8.20 a.m., but after I submitted my documents, they announced that their system froze and they could not accept interviews at the moment and advised to come in at 1 p.m. I ended up waiting until 4 p.m to be invited to the interview with the consul. He was a pleasant young man, he apologized for the wait and complemented my English. He asked how I met my husband, about my husband's work, my previous studies in the US. Aferwards he told me I was approved and wished me good luck. Overall, consulate employees are very pleasant and patient with the applicants.

Natasha interviewed this morning at the US Consulate, Almaty, Kazakhstan. She was very nervous and the process moved very quickly. When was called into the interview room she asked to answer questions in Russian, her native language, but the person conducting the interview required the interview be conducted only in English. She had some difficulty with the questions because her English is not quit fluent and the only people she has really had experience talking English with are myself and her English Tutor - Olga! She was a little intimidated because the interviewer did not smile and spoke fast requiring her to ask him to repeat the question a few times. But the result is - Natasha was approved and she was told to pick up her Visa on Thursday at 3:00 pm local time 7/9/2015!

My fiancée went for interview, we were lacking my original divorce documents. I only provided copies of originals. So I will send originals via DHL to US Embassy tomorrow. Otherwise embassy officer said visa would be issued upon receipt of requested documents.
