My fiance arrived at the Embassy at 7 AM. His appointment was scheduled for 8:30 AM. He was called to the window for the interview. The CO asked him if he needed a translator. My fiance said no but they brought one anyway. He answered the questions in English anyway. The CO asked him questions suggesting that we were trying to defraud the government. My fiance told me that they treated him like he was guilty of fraud. My fiance kept his cool and answered the questions. The CO would not look at any of the evidence that my fiance had brought with him. The CO told my fiance that he doesn't believe us and that my fiance should send all the documents we could to prove our relationship is real. He was given 221g and dismissed. We subsequently provided documents and the visa was granted but he had most of those documents with him already at the interview. I think they were definitely using scare/stall tactics. It was stressful but my fiance stayed polite and respectful. We are rating them as ... read complete review

My husband just had his interview, and I am just too excited to sleep! His appointment was for 7:30, he was done at 9:30. He said the lady was very nice. He brought most papers with him, including all pictures and proof of relationship. She asked about my boss....if it was man or woman. (odd question, and he knew the answer...didnt realize I ever spoke of it) She asked about my kids, how many and how old. Then she asked how many times I went to visit him.
Thats it. She smiled, said he was approved and kept his passport! Said go to aramex and pay, will have visa in 1-2 weeks. No a/p!
Woo Hoo!!! I am soooooo happy!

The consulate was very nice and receptive. The interview was quite lengthy and this is very much understood. Overall, we feel the interview was good and hope we receive visa soon. It is our understanding the interview process needs to be a great length in order to prevent fraudulent cases from occurring. You just need to be honest with your answers. Honesty is always the best policy and we hope for the best! My husband is now in Administrative Review, so please pray for him to have success.

He received his approval letter on December 1,2011...and was told to pay his visa fees for Airmax... they took his passport...and told him they would mail his visa... he still has NOT received it!
