It went fine and took about 3 hours altogether. She says that the questions were easy and mostly about how we met and mildly personal information (favorite food- that kind of thing). They also quized her about the proof of relationship materials we sent in for the I-129F submission. She translated her own documents and that worked fine with only her signature on the translation. The payment-website account system was a confusing pain-in-the-butt and we had to go on-line after the interview to confirm our payment before they would issue the visa.

The embassy in Naha (Urasoe, actually) is amazing. In our experience, they were so helpful and understanding, especially considering that NVC lost most of our original documents and delayed our expedite by a month at least.
My husband was only asked 3 questions: "How long have you been together?", "Do you live together?", and "What is your wife's job?". I was told that I didn't need to be interviewed at all. They weren't intimidating and there was no harassment of any kind
