So my husbands interview was today. He got there before his 730am appointment. He said the checkpoint process was quick, but waiting to take get interviewed took a long time as expected. He was asked only a few questions, I honestly can't remember any besides how did we meet. He said he was with the interviewer for maybe 5 to 10 mins and then APPROVED ! Praise Jah ! Its all over !

Consular was awesome. He obviously wanted us to be together before Christmas.- we got the visa 2 days after last interview. My husband says the consular was grinning from ear to ear after he approved us (after 3 interviews due to missing documents, same guy everytime). At the second interview, my husband forgot something, and the consular scheduled an appointment with him for 2 days later, instead of making us go thru the email process and waiting another 3 weeks. My husband was very nervous and said a few things he shouldn't have said, but I agree with others in that the consulars go with their instincts and interview enough people to know when it is a bonefide relationship. One thing my husband gave them for proof was a letter I had wrote right before I had surgery where I poured my heart out to him, although I was embarrassed he shared it with them, I think it allowed the consular to have compassion for us.
We felt very blessed to get a government official who enjo... read complete review

Wow still basking on my approval thank you God for your amazing goodness. I arrived at the Embassy in Kingston one hour earlier to my interview date as I was trying to beat the morning rush hour traffic. There was no long line outside the embassy which was much to my surprise. I was checked in and asked to show my letter photos and passport. Then it was off to security check. Once that was complete i walked down to be handed a number . I was a little nervous noting that my future with my husband depended on this interview
I went inside sat down then after twenty minutes i handed in my documents. Then it was time to wait for my interview wow. I cannot imagine why people would turn up to an interview without documentation or proof so a lot a people were given new dates to return with crucial evidence such as the form 1040
I waited almost four hours and hungry was having a ball in my tummy but the nervousness kept me alert. Then it was my turn wow my... read complete review

SO
Oshane and I stayed in Kingston for the interview, we stayed a pretty reasonable hotel called chelsea hotel on chelsea ave for 40 dollars a night.
It was located about 15 minutes away from the embassy. 500 ja dollar taxi ride to get there.
our appointment was for 8:30 but we got there around 7:30, as long as you have an appointment letter it doesnt really seem to matter what time you show up they put you through regardless.
Once we arrived, there was a man outside who helped us with oshanes paper work, stapling passport pics and forms together, pretty much made it organized for the interview. He checked both our passports and led us to the line to enter the embassy. they call you in, you go through security, very similar to airport.
NO ELECTRONICS! you can have water but they will ask you to drink it infront of them, before you can enter.
After the security, you get to the courtyard area which is outside, with many chairs. this is wear ... read complete review
