Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

So my interview was 8 am but I reached there about 7:30. I couldn't believe the number of people there looking visitors visa but I the out door agents were very quick and efficient with checking on the documents to ensure completion. In no time I was through security and unto the compound for another lineup to enter the main building. At this time a security personnel came as asked that everyone applying for an immigrant visa or are being filed for should come to the front of the line. In no time my appointment letter was checked and given a number. We were asked to sit on the right side of the embassy which is an areas specifically arranged for immigrant visas and we were seated unlike the other side applying for visitor visas. They called our numbers based on the time of your interviews. There were about 30 people waiting to be interviewed who shared similar interview times with me. They called my number like minutes to 9 to do the finger prints and to submit the civil docs and the w... read complete review

Review Topic: Waiver/Admin Review

My husband interviewed on September 11,2015 and was given a 221g for prior arrest in the US while he was here on a visa in 2008. He was on administrative processing until December 11, 2015.I emailed the Kingston embassy twice who did respond to me in a very timely manner with a nice email with little hope. I involved the Congress person in my area who did email them on the tenth. Surprisingly they approved him the next day. Although they finally began status updates daily after my second email and telling them that 60 days had now past, I feel that it was really the congressional inquiry that pushed the decision a little faster. So to you that wait, don't assume that your paper work is being worked on if certain times have passed. Get proactive and get your state officials involved if necessary.

Took me 4 hours to be interviewed. Questions asked at document intake:

Who is filing for you?
Have you been married before?
Has your husband been married before?
Are you employed?

Final interview:

Is your husband filing for you?
How long have you been married?

Reference made to a specific date of a visit made by husband for me to confirm that he saw me on that visit.

How many people were at your wedding?

CO showed a group shot of my husband and I with his cousins and pointed at one of his cousins and asked if that was my husband.
Does your husband live alone?
Does he have kids?
How old are they?
Have you ever been arrested before?
Have you ever been to the US?

Word of advice be calm, cool and collected. Do not lie. Out of around 60 or so people that I observed being interviewed the only 3 to get back their passports (th... read complete review

Review Topic: Other Experience

Fiance received k1 and k2 visas yesterday . However, on one of the k2 visas the annotation section where the Prinicipal Applicant's name shoud be (beneficiary) it has my name instead. I have been trying to get in touch with the Embassy to see if this can be fixed before they travel before Christmas. I am not sure if it would cause a problem at POE
