We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment, security and checking in was fast. We waited over an hour to get called to submit the papers requested, a half hour later we went back to a different window where after asking no more than 5 questions the officer approved the visa. Didn't even ask to see the photo album or evidence we brought. It was very easy. Since I went with my fiancé they let him return two days later to pick up his visa.

My husbands nterview was scheduled for 8am. He arrived at 7:30am. His wait was not long aprox 40 minutes. He was called and someone took his paperwork, called him to a desk and asked
1. Do you know your wifes parents? (one of them)
2. Have you met them? (one of them)
3. Where are they from, are they both Jamaican (yes)
4. Where did you meet your wife? (Jamaica 22 years ago)
5. Did you live anywhere other than Jamaica? (yes, Cayman Islands)
His visa is denied until we get his police certificate from Grand Cayman. they said they need it because of how long he lived there in the past.
He was told to make sure we register with DHL. Lucky for us, we were able to get his police certificate requested and back at the embassy within one week. We were told on 3/22 to allow five business days for processing.

The interview was scheduled for 8AM; however, 9AM is the earliest option when registering the IV appointment at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv. Please don’t be alarmed if your appointment is before 9AM, just select 9AM.
Interview morning
I got there 6:40AM for my 8AM interview and I joined the appropriate line outside, per interview time.
I was told to take out passport and sign 2 passport pictures (2 of 4 were used (Embassy web site stated 4))
