Review Topic: General Review

We arrived exactly at our appointment time which was 9am. We did not have to make a line outside, so they let us right in. My fiance had to leave his cel phone and keys outside with some people who hold items for 500 JMD.

Once we walked through security, we were given a number and waited for several hours until we were called.

They first called us to window#14 and were asked for Passport, Certificate of no-impediment (or results letter from RGD), Divorce certificates for both of us since we were both married before, Birth Certificate, Police certificate, Affidavit of Support I-134 plus supporting docs (I submitted most recent tax return, job letter, and paystubs from the last month). They did not ask for additional proof of relationship. They made my fiance sign a letter that states if we marry before entering the US, he will not be granted a K1.

After that, we went back to have a seat and waited for about 2 more hours. The consular offic... read complete review

Ok I am so happy to post my husband's review because reading reviews on here was extremly helpful to us!

His Interview was on Sepetember 26th at 7:30am he got there around 6:50am.
There were two lines 7am line and 7:30am line. The security guard asked him for the interview letter and passport then checked his name off the list.

He waited in the line for about 15-20 mins then proceeded through security.

He saw that there we two sections one section for non-immigrant and another further down for was for immigrants. He went down the hall and the first desk he saw was a woman sitting there and she took the interview letter and gave him the DHL instruction form. He didn't need to fill out the form because we already signed up for DHL online, but the form is very important because it had a number written on there. She told him to have a seat and wait for the number to be called.

Now he is in the waiting area for the immigrant... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband had his interview on the 9th of August and they approved him, kept his document and told him he needed to submit additional paperwork. They interrogated him about everything under the sun. We turned in the additional paperwork on the 22nd of August and they finally issued his visa. They orocess is very slow there and frustrating. But tv be prepared to answers everything.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

We arrived really early. Waited across the street until our time was called. Fiancé forgot a doc however was able to print across the street. We were one of the last for our time so among the last to interview. I think 12 or so before we walked out. They asked him only a few questions.

If he was ever married, ever arrested, and how we met.

She asked me the rest:

Do I have any kids, 1 which is his. And if I fly for free.

I asked her if he would be able to return with me that same week and she handed him a slip to allow him to come back Friday to pick up his visa. Very smooth.
