The appointment with my step daughter was 9/13. I flew in to JA on 9/12- took the 3 hour drive to Kingston so I could be by her side. Our appointment was for 7:30. We got a little lost but still arrived by 7. We got in line and were among the 1st inside. I left my bag in the car only carrying my paperwork so there was no delay. We checked in and were sent to the waiting area. We sat there about 30 minutes before they began calling people up to the window at 7:45. We were called around 8:15. (I went with my stepdaughter and her mother) They allowed all 3 of us at the window. They took our ID's and my step daughter's birth certificate. Then they told us to have a seat and wait to be called again. About an hour later we were called back up and had to identify ourselves. Her mother had to take the oath for her since she is only 8. They asked me if my husband and I file our taxes together or separately- I advised separately. Then I was told that even though my income alone exceeds the requ... read complete review

Interview went smooth, we went into a private room and was asked to raise our right hand and swear to the statements that we were about to state were true. Was asked if he's every been arrested and what part of the states I live answered both questions and was told our that the needed more information and given a 221g javascript:emoticon('') Overall the staff was nice so now just continuing the waiting game. I do not understand them wanting more court documents when his police record was clean.

So my husband’s interview was Sept 10th at 7:30am. We got there at about 6:45am to make sure we got a decent park, and we did. The Park was right across the street from the embassy, but we had to pay a man for the parking, so be prepared for that.
We then walked across the street and waited in a line to go in the building. The lady asked to see everyone’s appointment letter before we entered and we waited for about 30-45 min to enter. Once we entered we went through a security check point where the normal was done (everything out of pockets, etc.), then to desk outside.
When we got to the desk, a lady asked for my husband appointment letter again, his passport pics, gave him a number, and told us to enter into the door on the right and listen for the number.
Once we got in and sat, the number was called within 30 min.. A man at the window ask for my husband’s fingerprints which is done on a machine at the window, and he... read complete review

Our experience was fair. We did not experience any negativity. Only drawback is that it took 5 hours from the time of entering the building to completing the interview.
It was a little offputting to hear one of the person's who worked there interviewing people, to hear all of her conversations with everyone. I understand it is in an open room but other interviewers had more discretion than her.
- Kingston interview time: 7:30 AM
- Arrived at 6:00 AM (wasn't risking being late)
- We waited across the street, per Embassy instruction, until our appointment group time was called
- We were seated inside by 7:30 AM
- Our number was called at 9:25 AM to go to the window, we gave them the official copies of our documents and photos and told to have a seat until our name was called.
- We were seen again at the window at 12:25 PM. During the wait our case was reviewed. At this time he informed us our packet was very well detail... read complete review
