Our interview was February 18, 2010 at 8am. Me, my husband and his son stayed with his Aunt and Uncle the night before as his cousin wsa bringing us to the appointment. We left about 330am and reached by 615 (I didn't want to be late). When we got there we were parked and paid some Jamaican gentlemen JA$400 to park the car. He gave us a lot of information and insured that we had all the necessary pictures and everything that we would need, which we did, since I try to be over prepared for these things.
We got out of the car and headed down to the extremely long line at about 730am. We were asked by one of the ladies why we were there and explained for our 8am appointment. We were then directed to a much shorter line, for those of us applying for our family Visas. We were directed thru security and then had to cross thru the courtyard where we re-entered the building and had to present our pictures to a lively gentleman who we saw... read complete review

Our interview was scheduled at 8:30. We parked the car accross the street in a little lane and tipped some guys $200 JA. From the outside they organized our papers in their preferred order, told us what's not allowed in the embassy(i.e. cell phones, lighters, weapons etc) Went through security, just like it is at a airport then went inside to get a number and sit. While we got our number, they also gave us a paper to put the beneficiary's passport number for dhl's use.
After our number was called, we went up and this female organized our papers again, asked who's filing for who then sent him to go do his fingerprints while I waited. Fingerprints took around 15 minutes and the wait for the interview was about 30 minutes. We were called up and sworn in; she then asked him to write my full name, then I was told to sit down while he picks up the phone and was asked 11 questions. Nothing out of the ordinary: how, when, where did we meet; how, when do we communicate; who, when propose... read complete review

Our (myself and hubby) experience at the initial phase was consistent with that of other reviewers so I will cut straight to inside the embassy. We were called to window 7 initially where a woman checked off our items and gave us back some original documents which we were quite surprised at. She also asked who filed for me to which i responded with hubby's name.
We went back to sit but the room was full so we stood to the side near the bathroom, chit chatting. I was half paying attention to what was going on around us. The gentleman by the name of rohan (if i remember correctly) was coming by cracking jokes trying to break the tension (which he was successful at). About 20 - 30 mins after we were standing on the side they started interviewing ppl. When one big family got up we sat down and continued chatting. I was sitting to the back and the interviewers were speaking softly for the most part so I could hardly hear some of the interviews. However I saw one cou... read complete review

Well, we had a K-3 visa interview at the Embassy in Jamaica yesterday and they really hassled us. Told us to come back today for 2nd interview- which was really a heavy investigation. At this time, they put my wife in a sealed room and grilled her for over 1 1/2 hours, then me for 1/2 hour. Then they said they will make a report in a couple of days and the visa unit will \"contact\" us. So, what\'s the problem , you ask. They don\'t tell us, but we do have a big age difference, and they had questions about when we met. But, on the other hand, we have extensive trips together, phone calls, Western Union, photos, etc. There was no real reason for this type of treatment. Now, we are stuck in a hotel paying every day, and no idea when or what they will do.... So much for approved K-3 visas !!
