My husbands medical exam was on January 11 with his interview scheduled for the 12th. However after the interview he was directed to go to the consulate for fingerprinting and was interviewed on the same day (Jan 11th) instead of the 12th. He stated that he was asked about how we met and about our daughter. He was asked few questions and was congratulated and told to pick up the passport with visa and the envelope with documents the next day. He stayed at Hotel Cesare Augusto. He felt the rooms could have been better and he could barely fit in the shower...and he is very thin. But at 45 euro a night it was what we paid for. Naples is a rough place though so be sure to keep safe.
Seemingly hassle free interview.

Everything went smoothly, in fact they didn't even interview him (my fiance). they just took our documents, told him to wait until they called his name, and 30 minutes later they said he was approved and could pick up his visa the next day at 5:00. The day before, he arrived early for his medical exam and was finished quickly. They required 2 vaccinations because he didn't have records. The only bad thing about the whole affair was having to wait an extra day to pick up the visa. I'm rating it 4 because it went as well as we could hope for, but I dont' give it 5 because there should be more than one embassy in all of Italy to handle K-1 petitions ... why not Rome? It's better located. Or one in Milano or Venezia and one in Napoli.

we got the VISA!!!! My fiance arrived the day before for the medical,,went fast and smooth,he didnt need any vaccines as he had all the ones missing done at his family doctor before he arrived . Make sure you bring a list of all vaccines you have from your doctor, your passport and 1 passport photo.if you have had any hospital stays, they want to know why and also ask if you have any documentation. then from there they send you to the consulate for biometrics, when you get to the consulate, they take your ds230, ds156, ds156k, 1-134,(with 1 year of recent tax returns)..police certificate, passport photos, birth certificate, divorce decree if needed. he said they didnt really ask for any other documents (even though he had them all) never once did they ask for evidence of ongoing relationship, or even his military document.the only document they took original, was his birth certificate, for the others, copies were good enough, but you shoul... read complete review

Medical center is very clean and staff and doctors were very nice. The process was a bit disorganized as I was the first to arrive and the last to depart because they just stacked the papers one on top of another and the last to arrive were on the top so went first.
After the appointment took a taxi back to the embassy to do biometrics.
The next morning I arrived and checked in at the embassy. The lady checking in was very nice and explained that there might be an issue with the AOS information. After waiting for 30 minutes I was called to interview. Interviewer CO was younger lady and she was very efficient. She said that there was no question on the relationship, just asked the standard when and where married, wifes name and such... however, she needed more information on the AOS.
She wanted to see the tax forms and indicated that it was not sufficient as my wife has a business and taxes do not show the full financial picture, so we were ... read complete review

Very nice day! Everything went fine
I arrived on Sunday at Areamare B&B, very clean and quite, just 5 minutes from the Consulate and 9Euros ride with the cab to the Istituto Varelli.
On Monday I arrived at 7.30 at Istituto Varelli and I finished at 10.30. I had to do two shots that I was missing (antitetanica and varicella e morbillo). I paid cash 230Euros
The doctor told me to go to the Consulate the same day to do the biometrics.
The lady at the Consulate was very nice.
The day after I had my appointment at 10.00am and I arrived at 9.15am.
They checked again my fingerprint asked me for all the papers (DS230, DS156, DS156K,BNL receipt,my birth certificate and I134). Then they asked to wait for the interview with the vice-consul.
She called me after 30 minutes and she checked the documentation she had, look at the pictures we sent with the I129F and asked me when did I meet my fiancè... read complete review
