My fiance had her interview today and since I wasn't present I will relay what she told me. She got their at 8:20 AM for her 8:30 AM appointment. She had to bring our 1 year old daughter with her to the interview, but once there they would not allow her to bring the baby stroller in, strike 1. She then told me the first CO she talked with was a very nice young man who gathered all the paperwork they would need from her, he also noticed that our daughter was starting to get really unhappy and put her application at the top of the pile so she could go first., got the strike back. The next time they called her up she met with a woman whom she said was not very nice at all. She asked her questions about how we met. How did we prove that my daughter was mine, which was stupid because on my last trip there I registered her as a US citizen born abroad which was a pain in the rear in and of itself. Needless to say I had to do a DNA test to prove to the US and Israeli governments that she was i... read complete review

My wife had her interview this morning. The woman who interviewed her was very cold and didn't convey much emotion. Questions included:
- How did you meet?
- Why did you get married in the US vs Israel?
- What do his parents think of you?
- What do your parents think of him?
- What does he do?
- Are you serving in the Israel Army?
- What do you have in common?
- Explain the age difference. (She's 19, I'm 31)
- What did you do while you were in the US?
At the end, she said "You're finished" but didn't indicate YES or NO. The CO, however, took her passport.
My wife asked her, "What should I tell my husband?" The CO replied, "I will keep in touch."
My wife then left. Not sure what to take away from this.

I don't know how the process goes with other consulates, but our experience with the consulate in Jerusalem has not been very good at all. First, we tried to request a specific interview date to coincide with my office's end-of-year shut down, which was denied. Instead, we were given a date in early December after explicitly saying that we could not make it in early December, as Nirit was out of the country. So we had to reschedule for Jan. 19, and I took a week of vacation and made travel plans to attend the interview with her. We got to the interview 45 minutes early and stood in a short line. Upon reaching the front of the line, we were directed to a window where we produced our interview letter. The man behind the window scanned a sheet and found Nirit's name and told her to go inside to the reception area. I, however, was told to wait outside, which is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Why would a U.S. consulate deny entrance to a U.S. citizen for any reason, mu... read complete review
