Well i cant complain one bit, the interview went as smooth as anyone could hope. Asked me where we met, our plans for the wedding, my profession, and that was that basicly. I didnt have to submit further info of our relationship but that is more than likely due to the fact we had lots of evidence in the original petition. Picked up the visa 1 hour later after my interview, cant wait to use it!

All this stress for what? The interview lasted about 5-10
minutes and, the officers there where courtious. The wait was the hard part!
Though be prepaired to come back the next day, as they do not issue same day
visa's. All in all though, not a bad experience, Well done Dublin Embassy!

The guy I dealt with in Dublin was actually really nice and helpful as are most of the staff there. Unfortunately he's since been moved. As we had to submit the I-601 and my husband was in the US he allowed him to call him to clarify things on the phone which was really useful. He also gave the package a recomendation for approval before sending it to London so finger crossed!

Had my interview... well it was more like a Q for the Cinema. Got into the office with about 15 other people and had to wait for about 40 mintues. Then we were asked to sign a form and had to wait again. They then called us all one by one, but not into an office, just up to the top of the room, everyone could see and hear us. Went through the forms to make sure everything was okay, mine was thank God (Others weren't and were sent away until they got the paperwork right) Then an American Lady came and asked some questions like "When did you meet" etc. She was happy with my answers so i got the Visa about 30 mintues later. All in all it took about two and a half hours, the experiance itself i found them to be kind of cold and not very friendly but i guess we all have our off days, on other reviews i was told they were really nice so i guess i had one of the off days. But i go my Visa so i'm happy.

No problems, generally positive experience. The actual interview took a minute, maybe two. "Have you ever been to the US?" and "Have you met your fiancee?". Unfortunately, due to some computer problems, I couldn't receive my visa on the same day.

A bit of advice:
- After sending the checklist to the consulate, wait about a week and call them. They will try to accommodate you if you ask for a particular interview date.
- According to the Packet 3 they send you, you can bring either color or b&w photos. However, they told me that the systems sometimes rejects b&w photos, so get color ones for safety.
- 80 Euro is an approximate payment. Depending on the exchange ratio you may be asked to pay more, so take some money with you.
