According to Maryam, my fiancee, her interview was rather smooth. She arrived to Abu Dhabi, early in Am, had to submit her papers and then wait till about 12 pm or so. The interview lasted about 15 min. They asked her how we met, where we traveled, some details about my family, my job, and my hobbies. Then, she was told to wait, again. At around 3 pm, she was given a paper stating that our case needs administrative processing. They told her to check the status on line in 2 weeks. Exactly in 2 weeks, we got our results. At all times, she was treated very professionally and with respect. I had to contact the consulate twice via e-mail with various questions, an both times they answered very promptly. All in all, it was a very positive experience.

More disappointing news about Abu Dhabi Consular Section -
My husband's interview was December 11 for CR-1 visa. It has cleared AP and his case number appeared on the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi website. We called and confirmed that my husband was to go to the Embassy to pick up his visa. But then two days later the Embassy called my husband to say, "don't come in and email us your CV with references instead."
I am frustrated because the request for a CV could have been made at the interview. The Embassy staff could have reviewed it, called all the personal references while concurrently the case was under standard AP at the Department of State.
Even though there is an telephone inquiry line, do not expect a person to actually answer the phone. And if they do, don't expect them to be helpful.
Additionally, they do not respond to email inquiries.

His interview went very well only lasted about 4 minutes.
Now that he has returned to obtain his vias they have left him in limbo. It has been 10 days since he submitted his passport and still no visa. Being from Iran he is almost out of money having to pay for a hotel while he waits.
He also told me that he saw one of the interviewers, when the interviee becames upset, take his affidavit of support and tear it up and tell him he needed to obtain a new one.
Things like this make the US look very bad to people from other countries.
